Kelly looked shot to me - can’t see him playing 3 in a week - Shipley will replace O Hare if he can’t play

Can’t get past a 1-1 draw here, and that’s my heart and the assumption 10 wins in a row is too much for them. Win it and I’ll start to believe in autos (just start though). Can’t help but feel we’ve gone off the boil last couple of games and we need to be up for this one.

Will all depend on fitness and form but I’d go something like:

Marosi
Rose McFadz Hyam
Dabo Kelly Allen Walsh Giles
Baka Biamou

Try and get an early goal. Hope there’s a decent crowd for this one, the team will need it.

The preferred 2 behind Godden around Xmas were Shipley/Westbrooke. They have both been rested this weekend and would likely start. Also using Giles may help to expose any tiredness in Pompey with 2 quick games.

Same applies to the likes of Dabo & Kelly on our side though.

Portsmouth are on a juggernaut of a run.
If we get a draw out of it will be decent.

We were really excellent against blues in the replay

don’t think Giles will start but robins will need to be astute with his changes and it could very well work well for us.

Hope mcfadzean not too bad.

Yeah I’m hoping the performances each side are hangover/distracted by the big games coming up and we can raise our game again.

McCallums looked subdued for me last couple of games. I’d have had Giles on yesterday second half.

Fadz is crucial, really hope he’s not injured.

Was surprised Giles wasn’t used yesterday especially when Bolton made it 1-1, changes were made we managed to nick a winner so decisions proved correct. If fit I’m certain Godden will start, O’Hare should be okay so long as he had no concussion. I’m a Shipley fan and think we are better and tougher to beat when he plays not sure where he fits in now.

Yesterday was the first game this season where we won when Shipley hasn't started. Needs to start on Tuesday, agree that we are a better team with him.

Kelly to drop to the bench to rest.

In the league (cos only league games count, ask Max!) they've won their last 5, against our 3 wins and 2 draws.

Since the start of December they've won 7, drawn 1 and lost 2, against our 6 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat.

Two teams on very good runs.

Let's face it - anything could happen. We play good football and they are dangerous. If Fadz is injured I would be slightly concerned about their aerial threat. Important as it is, though, if we win at Southend and hopefully Rochdale, a defeat on Tuesday won't be the end of the world. Would happily take a draw on Tuesday.

Draw would be ok, a win, no matter how, would be awesome.
Before the in-match commentators on here moan about how poorly we are playing; given how good Pompey appear to be, we must expect to be dominated for at least part of the game.
A bit more flexibility from Robins in terms of personnel during the match would be welcome.
Kelly must need a break, even if it is only a 60 minute substitution.

Who would you replace him with?
Pask has played there but if McFazdean is injured I'd imagine he'll be required to step in for him.

Walsh I’d guess would go deeper and then Shipley comes in
