Cheapskates.... if they had serious money they'd be in Starbucks. Another consortium trying to save money right from the start.

Thanks for the link, Sub.

At the moment, I'll treat this news as the subject for pleasant daydreams. I'll only get excited when the paperwork is signed and the spivs from Sisu bugger off.

Agreed. Don't get carried away... just preliminary talks at the moment, no more. Long way to go... so forget it until news is more positive.

Who owns the casino? That could be a deal breaker as the chinese love them.

Isnt really much there thats new to be honest. Lot of mights maybes and ifs

Unless they can make SISU an acceptable offer and unless they can convince the council and the charity ............

enough to give fans a little hope but nothing has really changed

sorry if that doesnt sound positive but I only believe in something at CCFC when it has actually happened

All if's and but's, but better than "if only" and "but only" which is all we have had for a long time.

"if successful, are likely to employ specialised people with expert knowledge and experience in the game to run the football side of the business."

SISU did that too, letting RR take the helm...!

I ain't holding my breath.

Sorry lads you can call me cynical but SISU are holding half the cards and the council the other. I presume the council own the land and dont have to sell as SISU own the club and dont want to sell unless they get an acceptable offer. Its good news that people are interested and can see the potential but were a country mile awawy from anything being done. I will give Hoffman some credit though, he is a persistant little sod and he must be getting right up SISUs nose. PUSB

With our club Barely operational, due to financial constraints, Permanent, transfer embargo, unfiled accounts, and the totally unexistant Player buget,it is time for the squeeze to be applied to our owners, sisu Capital, in the same way they applied it to our former owners, who were headed by Geoff Robinson.
It must be absolutely clear now, that sisu are not in a position, and never have been, to take us anywhere but, out of existance, our club is in fact bankrupt, not only financially, but ethically.
They have told lies, broken pledges, and just shrugged their shoulders, when confronted with questions about how they see the future for CCFC.
It appears that Sisu finance are refusing to go under their own steam, "the game is up" Sisu are close to a "Check Mate" scenario, may I sugest that any money handed over to them in the form of season ticket Purchase, must be seriously considered as a risk, although I would imagine that any new owners would honour the purchase.
The news of the re-surfaced take over by a Hoffman
led group, is welcome, but prising the failed Sisu Finance group out of office , may be harder than it seems, but one things for certain, the damage to their prestigue as a finance House, is enormous, and details of their catastrophic attempt to manage a football club will spread like wild fire throughout the world of high finance, as ones to avoid...well spotted

Surely time is absolutely critical - we can't have "long way to go" because AT needs transfer/wages kitty now, the accounts need full audited approval, we require a forward business plan and short/medium term cash flow forecast and the new season is just 13 weeks away.

With all of the interested parties to communicate with, due diligence tests for the potential investors and all the other contractual/legal process to be completed time is already rapidly running out.

Wasn't the timing of last year's takeover critical cause we needed to rebuild squad

This is no more "new news" than joy or fishers recent comments

We are one year on, in the same position within the boardroom, yet in a league lower and even less of an income

Let's hope 12 months from now the Chinese are not considering investing in a league 2 ccfc

anyone remember that documentry about wealthy chinese business men buying english clubs?? i think this is absolute dreamworld and Hoffman is spinning!! ffs chinese businessmen interested in a 3rd tier side with huge debts no home and owners that will want a massive buy out? i hope they dont rearise we have a pwemier league where you can buy a club twice as good and twice as big for half the money. just one more thing, there is one thing wrong with this story on a serious note, if the chinese wanted to buy the buy the land or/and the stadium they could do it like handing out smarties. they dont need the team,. it is all bullshit guys take it with a pinch of salt that hoffmans spin usually deserves.

and now for our chinese freinds:

What the hell are you talking about? No one unconnected to the club can buy the stadium.

This may not happen but it will put to bed the TF stance of without SISU we have no one.... Which is complete and utter bollocks anyway even without this story breaking...

I doubt these are the same Chinese banking people previously courted and absolutely no doubt that this has been done to derail today's discussions between SISU and the council. Makes it difficult for SISU to play the "were the only show in town" card.
