Marosi - 8.5
Dabo - 8
McCallum - 7
Hyam - 9 my mom
Mcfadzean - 8.5
Rose - 8 right back on his game tonight
Walsh - 7
Kelly - 7
O’Hare - 7 what a brave teenager. I don’t know what our fans think these youngsters go through. Great assist
Allen - 7 continually looking to make things happen in their half and box
Baka - 6.5 excellent effort but little quality. Won lots of headers

max - 6 battled but didn’t get the ball
Godden - 7 great finish looked sharper

Would have liked to have seen Giles but Robins has done so well there

Great win that is

Two things, you’ve moaned about people being too harsh and given Bakayoko a 6.5. Thought he was superb today. Opinions eh ;) . Second one is factual though, you’ve called O’Hare a teenager. He’s 21 almost 22.

I think Kelly looked tired today, would think about Shipley in for him on Saturday. I was frustrated with O'Hare who lost the ball a lot but you have him on the pitch because of those bits of magic. Wingbacks didn't offer loads going forward but it's good to know they can also defend very well. Fadz - wow, Hyam - wow. Baka did as Baka does, some things very well and then anonymous for 15 minutes, really think he tires defenders though. How lucky are we to have accidentally loaned in one of the best players in the league in Walsh, he only came in because Kelly got injured. Marosi, I love you so much you strange plasticine bendy passing wall of a man.

Jesus christ, you're just looking for an excuse to have a moan now aren't you? I gave every player who started the game 6 or more. It was a scrappy games in which two teams cancelled each other out for the majority of it. I'm not going to bump everyone up to 9s just because we won.
No you shouldnt and pete is always silly over ratings

However you are very negative and most posters notice this

Just making you aware

people were saying you can't drop Kelly but he's been below par for 2 or 3 games now.
Not sure if it's fatigue or he's carrying an injury but I definitely think MR should consider at least dropping him to the bench Saturday. Not too sure who to bring in for him though, Walsh has looked a bit dodgy when playing in a deeper lying role.

I thought he got better as the game went. I think hes just lost that edge/bite. His trademark for me is how he wins 50/50s. Last year and earlier this year he won every 50/50.

Also in a team of wonderfull passers, his passing has been shown up a bit.

But in saying that hes irreplaceable he is the shield. The alternative is probably Josh Eccles.

Marosi - 9: game winning saves, some poor distribution but everyone did so I’m guessing weather/pitch.
Hyam - 8: solid
McFadz - 9: A rock. If we go up it’ll be largely because of his form since Christmas
Rose - 7.5: Solid
Dabo - 8: worked tirelessly, a threat going forward and defended well
McCallum - 7: might be me but he seems off the boil recently. Almost scared to get forward and some poor passes. Time for a rest IMO
Kelly - 7: rare off game, still got stuck in effectively
Walsh - 7: Quiet
Allen - 7.5: dangerous with the ball at his feet, tireless running
O’Hare - 7: Knocked off the ball too much, great assist and always potential for some magic.
Baka -8; Thought he was excellent. Chased every lost cause to great effect, linked well and a real nuisance. Long live the dreads.

Biamou - 7: never got going
Godden - 8: Scored.

How has Godden been voted mom. He scored a well taken crucial goal but either Marosi, Hyam or Mcfadzean should had received it over the 90 minutes they kept us in the game. Very strange decision

Agree baffling, most in stadium were chuckling. But great finish.

A really good team performance I thought. Two sides that cancelled each other out for the most part but our players kept to the task and got the reward. The three centre backs are immense and Dabo is find of the season. McCallum not his best going forward but defended well as Portsmouth pressed his side. Kelly looking tired but never shirked...and rest of midfield lively and battled well. Baka has an excellent first half (I think it may have been his best 45 for us) but faded after the break.
We had a 10min period in second half when everything clicked and we played some superb, quick passing, beautiful football. They had a couple of spells of putting us under immense pressure and could/should have scored at the death.
Overall this is a team we can all believe in. The last couple have games have shown we can, unlike the usual city, grind out victories against teams at the bottom and slug it out with a team near the top. Great credit to robins for building a squad that plays, in general, good football and one that the fans love to get behind.

Marosi 8 - great save 2nd half, good decsion making with the ball at his feet. Not sure what Dabo did to annoy him but he was acres of space so often and got ignored!

Rose, McFazdean, Hyam 9 - all were brilliant. Don't remember them losing a single aerial contest that mattered. Distribution was as good as you'll get from League 1 CBs.

McCallum 6 - defended well enough but needs to work on recovery runs when he loses the ball or an attack breaks down. Not his best going forward. Dabo outshone him.

Dabo 8 - defended well, distribution was really positive, made so many passes that put us on the front foot. Hanging on to him in summer wil be massive!

Kelly 6 - a few passes were off the mark and he didn't get us moving forward as much as he has done in other games. Did the simple stuff really well and a big presence.

Walsh 7 - same as Kelly with more stand-out contributions in both directions. Hadn't fully appreciated how much he contributes defensively until last night.

O'Hare and Allen 8 - O'Hare gets +1 for the assist. Lost possession a fair bit but didn't let that stop him despite getting kicked all over the park! Allen had a great game.

Baka 7 - a few times first half should've been getting in front of a defender for a low cross, needs to work on that if he wants goals. Worked his arse off, some great touches.

Max 6 - didn't have many chances to get involved but streched their back four and him being on the pitch hassling their CBs made space for O'Hare and that assist.
Godden 7 - what a finish!

Robins 8 - in the 2nd half, every time we had a chance to run at their clogger CBs, someone kicked us or knocked us over. His team never reacts and gets on with it. He's instilled a discipline and class in that squad which we should all be proud of. Made a change to two up front when he could've settled for a point.

Thought the defence and keeper were outstanding last night. The only disappointments were McCallum and Kelly, who seems to struggle to pass to anyone on his own side.

Another good Baka performance, won headers, held the ball up well and distribution was good too. Long may it continue.

Not a classic performance by any means, but
We refused to be dominated by a muscular team playing the long ball game. Defence were outstanding, but not one member of our team lacked commitment or a willingness to battle.
Although our passing game was nowhere near the quality we have been used to, we persisted and eventually two bits of quality did it
MR a quick learner as teams come with a plan to press and disrupt.

Yeah Kelly was fine last night, maybe not at his usual best but still a solid 7/10 performance.

In fact I don't think I've ever seen him have less than a 7/10, such a consistent performer and absolutely vital to us.

Think hes been alright personally

We are winning. Lets not change anything till forced imo

Robins rested Westbrooke and Shipley when we were winning, (or at least not losing), it was clear to see they needed it.
I think it's the same with Kelly.
Admittedly we had ready made replacements for those 2, not the case with Kelly.

One of the priorities for the summer I think - regardless of what League we find ourselves in. We need solid cover for Kelly.

I think we're too lightweight generally all over. What I'd like to see in Kelly's role is not just a ball winner, but a solid enforcer. One with a bit of knowhow and guile, particularly in the Championship. To a large extent we can get away with it in L1 but really need a Vinny Jones type character (without the liability ideally) or possibly even a younger version of Doyle.

Will depend on budget, but experienced players at that level dont come cheap. Without one I think we'll struggle, but the type of player diesnt really fit our model of signings. Sam Hutchinson possibly as not getting a game at Wednesday and i think he's out of contract in the summer, but hopefully our scouts have better on the radar than me.

Everyone seems to forget Portsmouth did a job on us all over the pitch and we eaked out a win ! Brilliant Game! I would thnk all our creative players would look to be having an off day because of what Portsmouth did but this is what it takes to win promotion! I saw a few of Luton Games last year and to be quite honest they were no great shakes but knew how to get a win. Keep up the good work MR. PUSB

While I thought the back 3 were great, I’m gonna make my case for Dabo as motm...not that it really matters! Essentially it is this, not only did he carry a threat going forward - he even created the goal with a quick throw in -but he also marked their best player, Rohan Curtis, completely out of the game. Curtis is quality and seems to have bulked out and grown a bit since I last saw him play. It made no difference. Curtis was clearly getting very frustrated by the end and was barking at his own players when he was getting tackled/making mistakes.
A great display.

Marosi, 8 - made some crucial saves, but a couple of dodgy-ish moments kicking and a save that looked to have spun out of his control.

Rose, 8 - Contained Curtis really well alongside Dabo, headed everything away, mich better following Saturday’s game

McFadzean, 9 - Great leader for us. Dominated Marquis and dealt with the aerial bombardment

Hyam, 9 - Contained Williams, dealt with everything aerially and has developed fantastically as a defender with us. Defensively sound

Dabo, 8 - defended brilliantly, great initiative to set up O’Hare for the assist

Kelly, 7 - influential player, and key to our success. Organised the midfield and puts in valuable defensive work

Walsh, 8 - classy midfielder, and tough enough to make physical challenges in midfield and showed a good range of passing and dribbling too

McCallum, 7 - not a lot going forward, but did well defensively and coped well aerially. Some harsh scores for McCallum

Allen, 7 - got forward well and is strong for his size, felt like he’d benefit attacking from slightly deeper in this kind of game

O’Hare, 8 - talented player! Nearly caught off-guard with Dabo’s quick throw, but is a constant dribbling threat and his passing paid off when he’s looped the ball over the defence for Gooden

Bakayoko, 7 - played really well against 2 big and physical CBs, credit to him. Didn’t get the chances to score unfortunately

Subs:

Biamou, 6 - Linked well with Gooden better than Baka, won some good flick ons too. Didn’t harass defenders as much as I expected

Gooden, 8 - got the goal and nearly had time for a second, movement was fantastic and gave Pompey all sorts of problems

Robins, 10 - we won the battle in the end, was positive enough to bring 2 strikers off the bench and it paid off. We shut out an attack who have scored in 24 games in a row and who had won 9-10 games on the bounce. A huge win!
