Slightly off topic so I apologise but always disappointed we've never adopted 'We'll Live and Die in These Towns' by the The Enemy, in a similarish way to how Hibs have with Sunshine on Leith

Because like all Enemy songs it’s a depressing as fuck slight against Coventry.

I hope to god we never do adopt that. Singer is from Birmingham anyway.

We came out to The M People “search for the hero” in the 90’s.
At the time we were sponsored by Peugeot and this was the music to the Peugeot 406 advert

Also only 1 of them actually comes from Cov and they lied when they said they saw the title written on the wall of the colly toilets

If you have never watched it, watch the Hibs fans singing Sunshine On Leith after they beat Rangers to win the Scottish Cup. It's fantastic. When I got my son to watch it he said "that's why people go to football'

The Sky Blue Song played by the Joe Loss Orchestra or band was used for a long time in the 60s and 70s when the team entered the pitch.
Any music used has got to be uplifting and energetic. Thus, dont expect Radiohead any time soon !

Love it but its hardly complimentary about the city we live in.
There's no reference to Coventry in the lyrics, plus the video was filmed almost entirely in the East end of London (where now Canary Wharf is)
I guess most of us have been beaten over the head with the "That's about Coventry, isn't it'? Comment, over the last forty years. Which is a real sickener - what with the rest of the country thriving in the early '80's. Honest.
Regardless of music taste or age, there is only one Coventry song we should be coming out to - 'Mouldy old dough'.

O Fortuna - 03/04 or 04/05 I think - Konjic’s last season

Final Countdown - last season at Highfield Rd, I walked out to this as mascot!

Didn't we come out for a while to "Come with me" by Puff Daddy, P Diddy, Puffie or whatever he calls himself now??

They did use ‘Be Somebody’ by The Enemy for a bit didn’t they.

I know a few mins before KO at the Ricoh for a couple of seasons they used ‘And I Thought My Jokes Were Bad’ by Hans Zimmer, taken from The Dark Knight. Pretty intense.

Back in the 60's they would play "Glad All Over" by the Dave Clarke 5.

Fans on the terraces would stamp there feet to the beat, good for keeping your feet warm on a cold night.

I can remember from the fifties Hot Diggity and Zambezi blaring out from the loudspeakers on Spion Kop while I was queuing up with my Mum and Dad to get into Highfield Road. That would probably have been 1956, the season after Tommy Capel had left City (after scoring 19 goal in 34 league matches) but the last of Colin Collindridge's two seasons at Highfield Road. His six goals, also in 34 matches, wasn't a bad return either for an outside left. No wonder we used to shout "Come on the Ole Five!"

I'm sure there was a time when we came out to 'Love and Pride' by King, although that may have been pre-match rather than walk-out?

I don't recall ever seeing the lads run out to that bloody awful shite song, "Go For It City!" Gotta be the worst football song ever! I cringe whenever I hear that! I always felt it was a rip-off of the Okey Cokey tune. Sing it and think of the Okey Cokey! You'll see what I mean!

If we had to have a ‘Coventry’ song surely ‘Love and Pride’ by the one and only Paul King would be more appropriate!

If memory serves, didn’t King play a set at HR ? I think it was part of Greg Downs’ testimonial wasn’t it ? Swear I remember watching it from the Main Stand
