Sent this in.... take it they did not read it??... although they DID call me to try to get me on...(quiet at beginning of show I think) kids tea/bedtime so couldn't!...
CW Another good result City! Even better when Wasps lose! Come on now CWR, call out that their indemnity that could bankrupt CCFC is the ONLY obstacle for City to come home. Get the pressure on them and stop being so soft. No legals that CAN be dropped so lets get pressure on Wasps and get us home!

Clive Partridge "That rumour has been around for a time now, it's their stadium so I don't think that's the case. So no, I haven't heard that".

See anyone else saying wasps going back to London, I’d brush it off, but as annoying Ian can be when he calls in and says he wants more goals scored even though we won etc, he doesn’t just make things up... good mates with Juggy as they have been on the radio a few times together. It was an interesting point Clive was like no no no it’s not happening...... a season ticket holder at wasps told him.....

I think everyone realises if the club get promoted in the year of the City of Culture and still are not at home there is a great big clusterfuck staring everyone in the face
Exactly.....a City with Blue everywhere but the team is in Brum. Complete own goal by the council to not powerbroker an agreement to return. The success of 2021 is measured on increased foootfall into the City.... so waving goodbye to the potential 26 x 20k people must be obvious to them.

Just caught up with the phone in. Fair play to US SkyBlue.

Whatever has happened before (and we all know SISU have been utter pants) the current and apparently sole reason we aren’t at the Ricoh now is because the club refused to indemnify Wasps against any loss they might hypothetically sustain from an adverse EU ruling. That’s what the club say and as far as I recall Wasps have never outright denied the indemnity was demanded so I tend to believe the club.

This being the case it is a disgrace that the Trust, CWR, the Telegraph and even the Council are not asking Wasps what the hell they are playing at and why, if they have nothing to fear they make such a demand. Can easily see why the Council want this kept quiet but not the others.

The whole thing stinks of shit.

Stuart says he’s a close personal friend of Hoffman. Who SISU claimed was in bed with Wasps for the failed bid to buy the club which was backed the Trust.

See a pattern here? No one wants to talk about the indemnity, or pressure the party enforcing it.

I still have the apology @Nick it’s on my voicemail.

Yep, it all seems like an old boys club doesn't it where they all seem to have some sort of a pattern.

Add in an ex newspaper editor on the trust board who's good mates with Stuart as well.

He can't see why him sharing an exec box with Hoffman is an issue.

Can you imagine the outrage for example if I said I was mates with fisher and shared a box with him then said I was balanced? People have tried to make that shit up yet he actually does it and it's not an issue

Exactly. People make up that others are mates with or work for sisu to try and discredit them.

Nothing said when other people in the media or spokespeople actually are mates or do business with other parties.

The thing is if we do get promoted, Hoffman may aswell finally disappear
He couldnt afford a league 2 club, he certainly couldnt afford a Championship Club

Pure projection. 'I do that so they must be doing similar'.

Clive changed his tune on the indemnity. Pretty balanced tonight. I just wish cwr would encourage people to go. Not judge it they don’t but say they should get behind mr and the team. They deserve it

Why is it their business to tell people to go or not? As Clive says “it’s a leisure activity”

Like I said on the phone in. They need to talk about Wasps indemnity being the reason we’re not playing in Coventry. Not discussing it is wrong because people can’t make an informed decision whether to go to Birmingham or not.

new stadium plans were first shown in 2013. not being able to rent someone elses ground in cov isn't the main reason we aren't playing in Coventry

I’m not disagreeing with the anti Wasp arguments for not playing at the Ricoh, indemnity bullshit etc and the sooner they piss off back down the M1 the better can’t come soon enough but let’s not forget there’s another party in all this, sisu, who have moved us TWICE out of our city for two different reasons. There’s questions need answering from them too.

I know SISU are tossers but you really think the council wanted a second football stadium in Coventry ? A clue would be the council taking months to answer every stadium site question.

Whether you like it or not, if Wasps drop the indemnity, we go back to the Ricoh

Yeah to be fair to Clive, he also corrected someone who called in (may have been an email actually) who was claiming if it wasn't for SISU's EU complaint we'd still be in Coventry

[QUOTE="usskyblue,

You are probably correct but proof in the pudding is in the eating I would love to see the sisu reaction if Wasps suddenly dropped the indemnity.

SISU would be caught with their pants down because their statement cited that the indemnity was the only roadblock.

‘Following agreement on commercials, Wasps demanded a further agreement to be signed both by the Football Club and SISU. This agreement introduced conditions that would unreasonably restrict the Club and SISU’s basic legal rights and would commit the Club and SISU to underwrite Wasps’ costs and any future damages. This would put the Football Club at great risk and jeopardise its future and in so doing, undermine the hard-work and success the Club has achieved over the past few seasons.’

Don't think Wasps have ever disputed this. Its only been in the last couple of weeks since people have started bringing up the indemnity that the idea there's further issues to resolve has come up. Rather convenient for Wasps just when there starts to be questions asked about the indemnity.

Lets get that out the way and then see what happens.

Don’t forget Wasps threw shade when Eastwood told the media that SISU needed to drop the legals.
