Great news. Surprised if we haven’t got an option for another year, but trust in Robins.

Be interesting to see how he is played if we keep the same formations (sans wingers). Will he be doing O’Hare’s job next season?

They've been playing him in that role in the reserves so I think that's his destination. He does give us other options though, looking forward to him returning as he has a lot of qualities.

Glad he was offered a new deal, and great that he has signed it. Would be nice to see him feature in our last couple of games.

Yeah same, he can be an exciting player to watch but more importantly can produce that bit of magic to turn a game. Just hope he’s back to his former self, or adjusts his game in a way that works!

It would be good if he can get a bit of game time but with the importance of every game we have coming up i think he may struggle to push his way in. You'd think he's the right kind of player to make an impact from the bench so hopefully we get to see him and scores us a few winners on the way up!

I can see jones being used last 10 games firing us to promotion

That is an exciting thought, especially as he does offer something different to the rest of the squad.

However, we already have one of the strongest benches in the league, so not sure who’s place he would take?!

Not a bad situation for MR to be in really!

Injuries, lack of form, suspension....plenty of reasons why our team/squad will vary over the next few months!

We seem to have massively improved with getting players signed up on contracts in the last few years, with fewer players running down contracts and leaving on a free. Glad to have Jodi signed up. Fingers crossed for a sustained spell without injury for him.

This is a rash unfathomable business decision made by the club. Apart from a couple of false starts last year, the last time he played was at League 2 level over two years ago. It is completely unknown what the long term impact of the injury will be. We could be playing two tiers higher than when he last played. In terms of player contracts it is a buyers market so I hope the contract has a get out clause if he does not come up to standard he can be off loaded to a club at the level he should be playing at. In cricket terms I suspect Jones is a "flat track bully" who will struggle in a really competitive environment.

I think a contracts great for Jodi - we have no idea of the content but I would think it’s worded with incentive for both sides - other teams might not be interested given his injury record but it gives him a base to start back in the trail of a career - he has better players to play with and this could be critical to our next 14 games - So far he has been only dipping his feet in first team play - it’s nearly a double jump in level since his last game - good luck for him and PUSB

He's got all the right attributes to play that position for sure. Would love to see him start breaking back in now with the odd sub appearance.

Luckily the club's run by people with a track record of choosing the right players for the League we're in, not based on your 'suspicions'. It's not hard to fathom when you know what you're talking about.

He's a totally different option to the other attacking midfielders and strikers we have in the squad and allows us to switch to a different system if needed. If you're going to be unnecessarily negative, try harder.

Watched back some of his highlights in L2 for us, certainly isn’t afraid to shoot from range so that could come in handy.
