The background to that was that a company providing a particular service to the club were were told in November to 'stand down' in January on the basis that service would no longer be required and they were on a two week notice in December as it was suggested we could return before Christmas, so I just repeated that, which was probably foolish. The only feedback I got was there was a major snag in talks in December and it was made clear we'd be there all season, which around the time tickets for fixtures beyond January were released for sale. Don't know anything beyond that, but I have learned to keep my trap shut in future

When MacAnthony refused to pay the rent saying it was too high, their council reduced it by 40% and agreed to spend £1m on ground improvements. Now their council are doing everything they can to help them move to a new city centre stadium.

Swansea Stadium Management Company (SSMC) sued their Council in April 2017 (Liberty Stadium 'has structural defects') and whilst that legal action was still ongoing, agreed a new lease Swans' Liberty Stadium lease approved...

Knowing what MacAnthony is like he wouldn't of acted in good faith at all. He throws his toys out the pram on a regular basis - you only have to take a glance at his Twitter feed to come to that conclusion. The only thing it shows is that our council is full to the brim with egos and are vindictive.

This is the mistake you seem to make. They have washed their hands of the city's football club, not the owners.

Why paint the club and SISU with the same brush though? They seemed to willingly sacrifice the club quite easily without a second thought if it meant getting rid of SISU. Does that not explicitly show that egos in the council's camp got ahead of what's in the best interests of the city?
