I'd assume any sponsorship of Ricoh will be multi year, (was Ricoh 10 year initially?), you'd then assume that whichever company is paying the sponsorship to have us there would want it written in that they'd only pay that amount whilst both clubs are playing there.

Could it be that they'd want us signed up to a long term rental deal to ensure we don't disappear after a year and they're sponsorship is worth less.
I just don't think even with CCFC there many companies will invest the sort of money into a sponsorship deal that Wasps want.

From what I have heard a massive multi national company wants to sponsor the stadium but only if CCFC are playing there but Wasps want all of the money from the deal which is a big part of the problem affecting CCFC willing to move back!

That Is a rumour that’s doing the rounds

More fucking free tickets going round work today. Thankfully nobody took up the offer.

How many freebies for this game tomorrow?

They are really desperate with this match on Facebook there is a ad saying £15 ticket with 20% off + a free£20 gaming chip for casino, I think that makes it first time I have ever seen people actually being paid to go to a game
Wonder what the council make of the ethics of encouraging gambling, pretty crass isn't it

I’m getting loads from the Ricoh at the moment, clearly don’t follow the wasps page!

So what’s happening about the Ricoh sponsorship, surely that’s expired or imminent?

It probably has finished but they won’t have money to make all the changes and take down the signs, so will wait for a new sponsor who will pay for it to happen.

It expired ages ago but they did a deal where Ricoh pay a nominal amount to continue as Wasps didn't want to pay to take all the signage down.

Suspect they thought it would be a short term thing but even after Wasps engaged specialists to sell the naming rights still doesn't seem to be any closer to a new sponsor coming in.

Google his name, there is a thread on the Cov RFC forum with him and Al in it, assume it stems from there but it looks like he got banned or something.

Yeah I think I worked it out - suggested it on twitter and Alan has suddenly gone into private mode

As far as i know, all schools in Cov - and probably further afield have been sent a promotion where ALL staff could claim FOUR free tickets.
Have also seen flying around social media that they were at the hospital handing out free tickets, and also Warwick hospital doing the same.

Have seen that Saracens have put out a mixed team that includes a lad making his senior Premiership debut.....
Hoping that they will give Wasps a game, and the crowd is low!

The red Ricoh signs are not lit at night anymore......... always notice that on the way back from the games in B'Ham

They've also been out doing promotion in local pubs trying to shift tickets at a fiver a go with very little uptake.

They would say energy saving measures good for the environment, the telegraph lead story would be rugby giants leading the way with energy saving measures

Hang on a minute

20,000 City fans buy a ticket
Don't go to the game but go straight to the casino
Half put £20 on red, half on black
Give the £400k to CCFC

Tremendous idea, though I think just under half win, so it’s more like just under £200k. Now if we could teach em all to play Blackjack properly, we’d get much closer to £400,000. :)

Somebody please say the crowd was very low tonight.....
They won 60-10..........
What a joke of a league. They've completely botched dealing with Saracens and done who knows how much damage to the league brand.

Still think there's a twist to come. Can't see Saracens just sitting back and taking these defeats week in week out playing under strength teams.

I read somewhere that the championship tv rights were up for grabs. The article speculated that the scarens owner could buy them. That would be interesting
