Internet rules (applies to all sports):

You think you’ll beat us: Arrogance.

We think we’ll beat you: Realism.

In truth of course, the default emotion for all footy fans, especially those who actually attend games, is pessimism. Especially after they’ve seen the team sheet. :)
If you want to see arrogance then read the Sunderland forum. Apparently they have top spot and automatic wrapped by next weekend

This Rotherham game feels like the Portsmouth home game - we all thinking that they would come here and roll us over and we would be happy with a point!
They weren’t all that were they? even though they were unbeaten for ages.
We beat them and we will beat Rotherham - it’s time to believe - the Sky Blue Juggernaut rolls on to the Championship! (Hopefully)

Win 1 of the 2 -
Beat Rotherham and lose to Sunderland - We are 3 points ahead of both after the same games
Beat Sunderland and lose to Rotherham - we are then level with Rotherham and 6 ahead of Sunderland
With Sunderland still to play Rotherham

So must win at least 1 and we are in a very good position

I’m not having that either I’m afraid.
In the context of autos/winning the league.

We're the best side away from home over the last 8 games, we're the 5th best at home.

We've scored 16 in 8 games away from home. We've scored just 10 in 8 at home. Our points tally is still excellent, but first 8 games we were head and shoulders above everyone else at home.

Sorry that was a typo, meant to say our HOME form hasn't been the greatest lately.

I've gone back and amended.

See for yourself, we’re two points off second in the home table. 8 pts off top with 3 games in hand.

Only 3 ‘home’ games in 2020, won two, drew once in Jan. Lost only once at ‘home’ all season.

We've amended the shortfall from many of those earlier draws and achieved bar a decimal point the two point average that usually garuantees.promotion.
Whatever happens over the next three shouldn't overall stop us.maintainimg that rate
Dynamics of the mind can play a part though

5 games home over January and December. Won 3, free twice. Facing Ipswich and Portsmouth around us.

We’ve started to hit a real stride after the Shrewsbury game.

Here' out home form over the last 5 games. I wasn't being hyper critical just pointing out that whilst we have been immense away, our home form has sagged a tad.

I've said on another thread if we keep our current home and our current way form we should win the league by 3 points.

We really hadn’t found any rhythm yet when we played them last time. It’s almost a different season.

It has the potental to go either way on form with a draw the most likely outcome.
We create chances all the time whereas Rotherham rely heavily on set pieces. If we defend those well, and protect McCallum on the left I think Rotherham could struggle to create chances.
I do think we need an attacking element to us with someone closer to Godden. Shippers did look effective in that role a few games ago. But we may cancel each other out in midfield and end with a bore draw! It will probably come down to an individual errror or bit of brilliance.
I think we can win if we stay brave, play our natural game and as always never give up for 90 minutes.

I think Rotherham will play the long ball game and bypass are midfield, so the back 5 and Marosi will have to be at their best .

I don't know what Rotherham are thinking now, but I know what they will be thinking at half-time.

Sunderland will be our biggest rivals, it will be two from Rotherham, Coventry and Sunderland, with Peterborough the dark horses..

I'm guessing they think the pressure is on us as we're at home, to be honest it's a game neither of us can afford to lose with Sunderland breathing down our necks. Our home form hasn't been the greatest lately, and I'm guessing they will be happy with a point away from home, .

How can you say our home form hasn’t been the best lately. Last 8 league matches won 5 drawn 3 hardly poor.

So what you are saying is that we could win, could lose or could most likely draw?
I can see how you could come to that conclusion.

I hope Rotherham watch back the highlights from the first game, no way will we play as badly (as we havent again all season). Absolutely gifted them that game.

They can say what they like, they know there is more pressure on them, we can afford to lose and still catch them, they lose and they're looking over their shoulders.

Not worried (rightly or wrongly), they're a danger from set pieces, as were Pompy, so we'll do the same, give them nothing, 2-1 Cov.

Just don't lose the next 2 and I'll be happy, 2 draws only puts us at a maximum 3 points behind with a game in hand.

For me tomorrow is a banker draw, the longer the game stays level the more cautious both teams will become. I think it will be similar to the Portsmouth game both teams playing very tight.

Just a reminder of the goals. Probably our worst performance of the season. All the goals were defensive howlers.

Worst I've seen us play for a couple of years.

Someone said to me on another threead it was a freak result. it wasn't a freak result, we played absolute shite and deserved the hammering.

Time for revenge tomorrow!

First time I’ve seen those goals the only thing missing was the gift wrap paper and tags, only the first one had any look of half decent attacking play even then our full back should have closed the cross down, one of those days in my book.

Yeah, in my years of following City this performance goes down as the worst collectively and the worst individual performance I have ever seen in Kastaneer. I remember someone praising him because he once dribbled past someone but completely ignoring the fact he spent the entire game running aimlessly out of position and leaving Dabo two on one every time. It was an absolute joke and comes as no surprise that Robins has ditched him ever since.
