How great it feels after 35 years of wishing for a high place finish to be in with a great shout of top two, it’s all in our hands now, just stay undefeated ( I actually think it’s a possibility) to the end of the season and we can do it, fwiw I reckon we’ll win Tuesday and draw on Sunday with us an Sunderland finishing first and second come the end!

It’s all a bit of a muddle at the moment but I think things will be a lot clearer in 2/3 weeks. We’re playing teams around us but so are others. Could mean a couple start to pull away and a couple drop off but then it could equally end up similar now which will mean it’s a hell of a battle for promotion to the end of the season.

We are bound to lose at some point, just hope the fans don't go into melt down when that happens! Just need to show we can cope with the pressure if we do lose and continue to show the ability bounce back! Big tests to come, it will defo be interesting

Great position at the moment. I still think we will finish eighth!
Bet you are great fun at a party. How the fuck do you work that one out when weve only lost three times all season

You only have to look at Portsmouth to see how easily it can all go wrong. 1 point behind us before we played them having played the same amount of games and on the back of 10 wins in a row in all comps (I think it was 10). now 3 games later, 7 points behind and looking out of contention for autos at the moment. If they lose 1 more and other results don't go their way, its playoffs at best for them.

We have points in the bag and games in hand. I wouldn't swap our position for any other team. We might have tough games coming up. but that means so do others (as, at the very least, they have to face us!) Believe!

Yep-if we are serious you have to trade punches with the best, or worst case scenario is do not lose against them.

I’ve consistently said this is our season and I see no reason to change that, in fact I’m even more adamant now.

We will inevitably hit a bump along the way, could be a tiny one, could be significant.

If that happens, we’re all going to feel frustrations, vent and potentially say things we don’t mean especially in the heat of the game and the subsequent few hours.

The key is keeping it in context and avoiding overreactions, pessimism and negativity. Which likely means ignoring certain trolls on here too.

It’s been a brilliant season so far, and I can’t wait to see us as Champions. Fans, management and the players all deserve it this season.

Thing to remember here is that a lot of football is still to be played. It's not the last 6 games yet, far from it. We could lose the next two regroup and still win the league, so keep a level head and remember we have been far too good this season for it to crash and burn.

...we can go the rest of the season unbeaten.

Sunderland are charging up the table and scoring lots of goals.
I hope we can keep pace with Rotherham and Sunderland, otherwise it may be the play-offs for us.
The games against Rotherham and Sunderland are absolutely pivotal.

They can charge all they like they ain’t catching us if we just keep winning.

We are rock solid and show no signs of cracking.

Sunderland only conceded 2 goals in their last nine games, they’re on a hell of a run. Makes their fans look even stupider for calling for Parkinson’s head after a month earlier in the season. Going to go down to the wire between us, them and Rotherham I think. Get results in the same manner that we have been and I think we can do it, although need to make sure we don’t lose the next two.

Going to be plenty of twist and turns.

Rotherham still have to play 5 of the top 7 including us.

Sunderland still have to play 4 of the top 6

Of course we are playing a lot of teams in the top 12.

Part of the reason was the new CB they got in. But he’s now out for the season.

So the 3 of us still have to play each other
We have both games at home
Lose both and Sunderland beat Rotherham is worst case
That would mean
Rotherham p 34 Pts 63
Sunderland p 34 pts 63
City p33 pts 60

So the worst case from the head to heads is we are 3 points behind with a game in hand

We just have to hold our nerve
If you are a pessimist, we are over 8/1 to lose both

anything but 2 defeats and it is still in our own hands

Looking at Sunderland's games since Christmas (13 games) the only teams currently in the top 10 they have beaten are Oxford, Wycombe, and Ipswich. They are 11th, 13th, and 14th respectively in the last 12 form table. So I think it's safe to say Sunderland have had a relatively unchallenging run. Let's see how they get on against Fleetwood on Tuesday, and us next weekend.
