Absolutely - I said as much on Thursday but as usual got shouted down by the SISU hate mob.
Hoffman is, in my opinion, intent upon spoiling the party - if he cannot have it (for lack of investment) then he will burn it to the ground.

He has never wanted it for himself. He has been trying to bring investors in. Just like a lot of us would have done if we were in his position.
You know very well he has not been after the club for himself. I take it just another chance of a cheap dig at Hoffman for you. If not then please explain your train of thought.

It's possible the telegraph just did it to sell some papers and get people talking about them. It was really a re-hash of old stories and very subjective.
As for Hoffman I just do not understand him. He never gives a formal interview with anyone. Surely he would have declared public his intentions and the scale of the investment on offer. If nothing else it would raise the heat on sisu.

Hoffman has never said anything once in public. That is not the way to do things. He has never been into it for publicity. He has done it for the love of our club.
After the last attempt where SISU told everyone what they say happened most agreed nothing should have been said. Now you say he should publically say what is going on. Why is this? Nothing is done. Nothing is sorted. Nothing to tell. We all know what he does for a living. Does he ever say how the new bank he is in charge of is doing?

They only pictured Hoff and a regenerated link because he was once talking to Chinese investors. There were no direct fresh quotes from him so not his fault just lazy journalism again by the CET linking a half story on a day that it would get some attention. Awful paper who never does anything for us or our club. In days of declining sales they should be campaigning and offering tough questions of the owners but seem to have a few wannabe hacks attempting to further their own ends to get on in the Trinity group.

The impression given is that sisu have an unreustuc expectation on the value of the business. That has to be the only issue. All but a handful of shares are, I believe, in one holding company so transfer of ownership would be straightforward.
If this was a public limited company he would have to declare an interest. If it was public and a hostile takeover then that is exactly what they would do to force action. I cannot see what would actually be damaged by declaring what the offer is. When far, far bigger businesses are sold you know the potential bidders and roughly their intent.
Personally I'm neutral on the issue but it is the silence I think that makes people question his interest.

The silence of what? I have a feeling I might be repeating myself and many others here, but let's say it again.
Hoffman isn't investing himself. He is not rich enough to buy or take over our club. He works with finance, investments and investment banking. He has many contacts in the world of investments and investing. He is looking for people to invest in our club. We all know that as a fact. Even SISU have admitted as such before when the note headed fiasco happened. You know, when the vast majority of the fans didn't want to hear anything until any deal was done in case it stopped any deal. Well, he is not after anything like Dhinsa. He is already well reknowned in finance. He don't need or want the publicity. He has never spoke about it in public. I don't think he will speak publically until there is something to say.
Non story? So you think he wanted a story like this publishing? So you think he controls what is published in the CET? Maybe he wanted it publishing. We will never know.
Most of the above is fact. Some of it is common sense.

if sisu buy half the ground that is the end of our club, they have admitted there is no more to put into the club, i suppose thay see the arena as a way of making money on concerts etc but the football side of it will be the last thing on their mind, a tragedy if these con artists get their hands on the arena, the sky blues will be dead

SISU have made mistakes, no doubt about it. But now it seems if that link is true which i am guessing it is then after 5 yrs they have realised that this is the way to go!
It has taken 2 long for Joy and Mutton to sit down, it should have been the first thing that was done in December 2007!

It wont, it will get them a percentage of the streams, a 3rd of it is currently better than nothing! Its the right thing to do for the football club and thats the way it needs to be looked at!

Pretty much like for any potential investor really the club is only a way in to the Arena, and surrounding land, as pretty much everybody agrees the club is less than worthless as an entity on it's own.
Hasn't all talk surrounding Hoffman's investors been concerned with the Arena and redevelopment of the area, rather than the club itself?

Yes, but Hoffman is a City supporter so I think that makes a big difference to a group of people who don't even seem to know anything about football at all.
Okay, so Hoffman could still fook it all up, but you would have to believe that at least he has the City's best interests at heart as well as trying to make a quick buck.

For fear of repeating myself....I did say in earlier posts that SISU had said LAST YEAR, they had saved £10m(Half of the £20m needed) for a half share in the Ricoh...proving they had no fooking intentions of doing anything about sorting out the playing side of things.

Not at all - surely it is a good thing for CCFC to bring ownership of the ground back to the club?
It certainly makes sale of the club a more attractive proposition.
You want SISU out, to me this seems the more logical way. Let them acquire a % of the Stadium, and then they have something to sell as part of CCFC. At present there is nothing to sell and it represents a crap investment.

He is a hard nosed businessman at the end of the day and answerable to whatever investors he brings in. Loyalty or the best interest of CCFC have nothing whatsoever to do with it

What I'm Talking about is SISU couldn't give a fook about the playing staff..ie= FOOTBALL, They have (Supposedly) £20m for the half share in the stadium, yet they couldn't give a shit about sorting CCFC out on the pitch. It's not rocket science, and you don't need a degree in physics to see what's going on here mate. They don't give a damn about football, only the Ricoh and surrounding land for developement.
