If it's possible the story on Thursday was a ploy by the hoff to derail talks over the rent, then surely it's plausible that the story could also be a ploy by SISU to sell season tickets? Thoughts?
Absolutely - I said as much on Thursday but as usual got shouted down by the SISU hate mob.
Hoffman is, in my opinion, intent upon spoiling the party - if he cannot have it (for lack of investment) then he will burn it to the ground.
It's possible the telegraph just did it to sell some papers and get people talking about them. It was really a re-hash of old stories and very subjective.
As for Hoffman I just do not understand him. He never gives a formal interview with anyone. Surely he would have declared public his intentions and the scale of the investment on offer. If nothing else it would raise the heat on sisu.

Hoffman has never said anything once in public. That is not the way to do things. He has never been into it for publicity. He has done it for the love of our club.
After the last attempt where SISU told everyone what they say happened most agreed nothing should have been said.
Now you say he should publically say what is going on. Why is this? Nothing is done. Nothing is sorted. Nothing to tell. We all know what he does for a living. Does he ever say how the new bank he is in charge of is doing?
They only pictured Hoff and a regenerated link because he was once talking to Chinese investors. There were no direct fresh quotes from him so not his fault just lazy journalism again by the CET linking a half story on a day that it would get some attention. Awful paper who never does anything for us or our club. In days of declining sales they should be campaigning and offering tough questions of the owners but seem to have a few wannabe hacks attempting to further their own ends to get on in the Trinity group.
The same Trinity Group that Hoffman is a non-executive drector of?
Personally I'm neutral on the issue but it is the silence I think that makes people question his interest.
The CET say sisu are close to buying half the ground now so perhaps that is the end.

I am rather pee'd off that we had no money for players in order to avoid relegation yet have money to buy half the ground.
Doesn't that just reinforce that Sisu have no interest in the club itself whatsoever?

Yes, but Hoffman is a City supporter so I think that makes a big difference to a group of people who don't even seem to know anything about football at all.
Okay, so Hoffman could still fook it all up, but you would have to believe that at least he has the City's best interests at heart as well as trying to make a quick buck.
Not at all - surely it is a good thing for CCFC to bring ownership of the ground back to the club?
It certainly makes sale of the club a more attractive proposition.
You want SISU out, to me this seems the more logical way. Let them acquire a % of the Stadium, and then they have something to sell as part of CCFC. At present there is nothing to sell and it represents a crap investment.

TIMS is talking about Sisu. Otis and SBK etc are talking about Hoffman.
Hoffman is nowhere, he is not in talks with the Council: Sisu is. Hoffman is not in talks with the Higgs: Sisu is.
So which set of posts make more sense?
Hoffman and his chinese or Sisu?
There is only one answer, but I expect that the people who said that the joint press statement was a waste of time because it only said that the decision makers were talking whereas thay KNEW that Hoffman and his chinese were on the point of a hush hush deal without him having talked to the Council, the Higgs, the Club or Sisu will carry on posting about Hoffman.
SISU will never be allowed to get their hands on a half share or a fraction of the Arena, I can asure you all of that.
