It's a statement that all of us would have appreciated a few weeks ago and now you want to disbelieve it? They are talking guys and the right people are doing the talking. Best be careful what you wish for....there is no Hoffman and elusive Chinese investors anytime soon.
There is time....the transfer window is not till about 3rd week June or so? Clear to me as I stated a while back they are trying to negotiate a deal or two before they can present a budget to go forward with. Ms Joy is not there to simply smile back and forth at a few council men!

So are you saying SISU can't afford to buy the Ricoh and the council won't sell it to them so they will be given part of it for free?

What I am saying is that Sisu could not possible afford to buy the stadium and in any event, I for one would not want to see them owning any part of it at all.

It's not about ownership of the stadium but about income from it.

Look I've had a few businesses in my time and when i lease a Nightclub for the purpose of drinking and dancing and allowing the public to congregate there then I own the rights to sell the beer and make a profit not just profit from the door money. Get it?

Once you understand that then you can understand why SISU are asking for the right to revenue streams when they occupy the building on a lease term? Seems fair to me. Either that or if not, then a reduced rent as we only use it to play football on and have the public there..we are not actually getting some of the revenue generated by 'our' client base coming to your beer counter/pie counter or what ever else is inside the bloody place.
It's a bigger remit than that but that's the general idea and not an unreasonable one.

I hope the council tell them to f**k off. They are only interested in getting back some money for themselves out of the stadium and have no intention of seeing the club prosper.

Don't know if Hoffs chink investment will ultimately be better for the club, but anything to get SISU out will do thanks.

SISU can almost certainly afford to buy half the stadium if not all of it. They cannot buy all of it because half of it isn't available to buy.

But buying the stadium has nothing to do with putting money into CCFC. They don't put money into City because they can see they will never get it back.

Putting money into a stadium is a different proposition. They see big bucks that way.

There is already a long catering contract.A medium naming rights sponsorship is already done. Events can be held, but would this cover the interest payable?

To me the money must be in the surrounding land. Otherwise it would be a large investment for a small return for a fair few years.
