Well done Pete and Mark, I'm sure MOST of us really appreciate what you are doing and you both deserve a round of applause.
If either of you are having chips for tea, just check schmee hasn't pissed all over them.

THE. ITLL MAKE NO DIFFERENCE IF WE ASK!

Fucks sake mate. I can’t make it any simpler.

Let’s say I tell you I’ll give you a million pounds if you ask Holly Willoughby for a BJ. You refuse because she’s definitely going to say no. Does that make sense? Wouldn’t you ask anyway knowing it won’t happen and you get a million quid? That’s what calling someone’s bluff is.

Jesus. You are so obsessed with the other side in this you’re happy for Sisu to piss on you and tell you it’s raining and then go out and scream at anyone who says it isn’t.

Could we make it Kylie rather than Willoughby and do you have proof of funds?

Right “It wasn’t an insult cos you’re mad and desperate”. Top polite conversation A++++ would engage again.

If Sisu went and asked for it to be forgotten? Fuck knows it’d be something though. As opposed to nothing and might force a move from Wasps. Might even defy all the EU law scholars on here and actually work.

Blows my mind that some are so desperately against our owners taking an action that they insist will do absolutely nothing. What have you got to lose?
They were asked they won’t as they think what happened was unfair and even if they did the complaint would continue. As mark said that’s the answer we may not like it but we need something else

This is kinda my point. She can say “I love CCFC” and also “If rather keep them out of the city and potentially kill the club than say words I don’t believe and won’t have any impact but think are unfair” and that’s fine apparently.

Ditto “we are definitely looking for land” despite saying the same for six years with no evidence of progress.

And we just....accept that? Not just accept but get very very grumpy with anyone who doesn’t.

I honestly don’t get it. CET print “sky is blue” half the forum loses their mind and demands proof. Seppala says “court case that has nothing to do with CCFC is worth killing CCFC for and we’re buying land trust us” and no one bats an eyelid?

When I ask I get “lol of course there’s no stadium”. And we are fine with this?

Has us being top of the league convinced people we’d be OK out of Cov for the foreseeable? I swear just two days ago the same people were saying another year away would kill us. Yet now it’s fine for Seppala to not say some words cos she thinks that’s unfair. And we all get excited about the old fashioned stadium that we also admit isn’t real?

“I know it’s all bollocks to get us distracted but what pretty bollocks it is”

Again. So what is it? Because apparently the indemnity is it and that’s related to the court action (or whatever pedantic name you want to put on it, FFS come on we all know what we are talking about what’s even the point in semantic games?).

I mean literally what could it be? It’s either commercial terms (which apparently it isn’t) or it’s the legal action (which apparently it isn’t).

Given no useful information I’ll go with context clues and historical data which suggests it’s the fact that Sisu won’t give up dragging people through court. The main clue being that each time she’s asked about it Joy says she won’t drop it and that the club chose to whine about it in their statement as well as the indemnity.

Dude, there is no court action.... Sisu openly signed a deal that there would not be any more legal action directly against wasps and I'm sure if they broke this, Eastwood et al would be straight to the press about it (as they rightly should be if it happened)

The indemity is the sticky point and BY LAW once the EU are asked to look into something they have to look into it fully and if they find something not right they have to investigate it. So even if joy went to them tomorrow and asked for it to be withdrawn they wouldn't... And why should she? I personally as a tax paying resident of Coventry would like to know once and for all if something was not right in the sale of arguably the biggest asset in my city, if the EU don't find anything there are no other avenues, but if they do find something then it gets very interesting which is what wasps and the council are shitting themselves about... But of course with your connections you already know that ;)

Ah yes my connections of *squints at phone contacts* a bunch of random stoners and tech geeks. Know all about that.

To be clear. You are happy for us to be out of Cov for say, 20 years even if at the end all courts possible rule nothing happened. Because then justice will have been done?

I mean kudos for your commitment to the rule of law, I just prefer footy.

Long from now when Jim Brown III sits down to write about this time in our club's history, he will learn about Pete, Mark, and little shmeeee who shithoused the first personal meeting between fans and Sepalla.

Point of order. This is nothing like the first meeting. And I am a fat fucker and can only be described as little ironically.

Good work - its nice to hear news from "the horses mouth" so to speak rather than all the made up bollocks we get from the media & rumour and counter-rumour!
I for one feel quite positive and believe we will eventually end up back in Coventry where we belong.
- I hope ideally its at the expense of Wasps!

It's almost as if you are trying to bullshit people now?

You know full well you are better connected to people who have been privvy to things more than pretty much any one else on here.

That's fact, not conspiracy.

I think you misunderstood. No one said it would be ok next year. Course you can say you love Coventry city and make an eu complaint against ccc. I see very little of we are ok with it from anyone on here, far from it. Why would you want someone to say of course we’ll go to to the eu and ask them to not progress it when they know that can’t happen.

Again holding people to their words starts with meaningful conversation. Again fans should be holding all parties to account without fear or favour

The thing is we won't be out of cov for 20 years stop being so melodramatic. No one on this forum or who supports ccfc wants them out of Coventry at all, but most of us want to have a viable future as a club and look long term and personally I don't want the club to have the threat of the indemnity clause being activated over our heads as if it is activated the club would go bankrupt.

Stop being so short sighted and think about the bigger picture and give Pete and mark the credit they deserve for doing what they have done. We all hate sisu with a burning passion but this whole saga is to blame on three parties, where is your hatred of the council or wasps? Wasps have refused to talk to Pete why aren't you shouting about them

Perhaps it was the crowds have been better than anticipated and we will continue to fund the club bit which has given the another year would kill us brigade (of which I'm one) a little bit of reassurance rather than the continually vague stadium plans.

Same words in a different order, she has yet again regurgitated the same old mince with vagueness and victimhoods.
She has been doing it for so many years I think she is starting to believe her own BS.

Erm, you have mentioned the council.

You just keep repeating the same things without any interest in the replies.
how on earth any reasonably intelligent coventry city fan still fails to recognise that the council are significantly complicit in the team playing outside the city is beyond belief, the substantial reason we are in birmingham this season is due to those shambolic and unprincipled characters that make up coventry city council.

I like you Pete so I say this with all the restraint I can manage.

You say it. Because the other party has been using backchannels to put out that they want you to say it. If you are convinced it won’t work then there is literally no downside to saying it and only upsides. The only possible downside is if you aren’t convinced it won’t work and are worried it will.

And it’s very easy to say “you can love CCFC and put in a court action against CCC” but that glosses over the fact that the court action is against the only stadium in the City you’re supposed to play in.

Same personal question to you as you support the court action: at what point do you stop believing it has merit and isn’t worth damaging the club for? A year? Another appeal? Two? Five years? Ten? What price justice when the cost is CCFC playing at home?

Just humour me even if you don’t think that’s the sticking point (though if that’s the case I’d love to hear what is in your opinion).

Are you still obsessing over Linnell's nonsense about asking for it to be dropped?

It's all well and good you trying to say people on here are backing court cases, go and have a word closer to home and people backing administration because they thought they might get some self importance.

Take your bitterness elsewhere.

Well done to Pete and Mark, although it might not be anything revelatory it feels like we've got more in a few weeks than the Trust, Telegraph and CWR have between them in years.

Personally think the right tone was struck. As much as we all want to demand answers if you want to retain an ongoing dialogue you can't go in and start abusing people and calling them liars.

Interesting that someone in the local media was trying to put Pete off by making out the club were against what he was doing. Doesn't give a very good impression even when most people's option of the Telegraph and CWR is pretty low.

Also odd that Derek Richardson won't speak with anyone at the club. That's new info to me and another thing that doesn't look good on Wasps. Sure if it is incorrect we will find out fairly quickly but assuming its right then that needs to be addressed along with the indemnity issue. Maybe Pete and Mark can request a similar meetings to this one with Eastwood and Richardson.

Not a huge amount of new info and obviously they will present things in a way that puts them in the best light but a very useful exercise and something that can certainly be built on.

Agree with this and have asked Pete and mark earlier in the thread if there is any planned meeting/talks with them to see what their take is. They as the freeholders should be able to assure the parties they will help. As I mentioned earlier THEY can put an indemnity in place so it is the Council who take the hit if there was a failure by them to get the correct price for the lease

Nobody is saying they are happy for us to be out of Cov and there's no reason we have to be while the EC complaint plays out. It just needs Wasps to drop the ridiculous indemnity demands.

Let SISU kick and scream all they like and eventually, like a baby, they'll tire themselves out and have nothing left. In the meantime let the grown ups get on with business as usual.
