I'm not making excuses either.

As I say, I myself would never talk in this manner. If anyone had said that about a person then I would have taken offence. Sisu isn't a person though it is. It's a business not a real person.

This is why I didn't find it offensive. Not excuses, fact. Sisu isn't a person.

What I am offended by however is the assumption that anyone who excuses what the poster said are no better than the person who said it.

I do find that very offensive.

Torch would likely find far more offensive material on other forums/comments sections. You can't get on with everyone and agree with everything everyone says. I personally wouldn't have made that comment, but it's also difficult and overboard to lay into someone who I've never met, in a public arena.

I would never, ever say anything like that and I wouldn't be expecting anyone else to make it either, but it has to be taken in context. It wasn't aimed at any individual or even for that matter any human being. It's hard to even identify what Sisu are. Just a business controlling investments.

Sometimes i agree with him, sometimes i don't , but i will never judge him like you, just because you disagree with him sometimes.

Back to the point of this thread (or nearly the point). I am surprised by Sisu's apparent change of mind. They used to be the tough guys with the 'we are the only game in town, so agree with us or else' attitude. Joy (I'm tough so don't mess with me) Seppola is now all sweetness and light and happy to be in 'constructive and transparent' talks with the council and ACL. This is a change on a scale with Paul's conversion on the road to Damascus. Could it be that Sisu are now running scared? Maybe there is some truth in the rumour that Chinese businessmen could be interested in CCFC, the Ricoh and the surrounding area.

Perhaps Sisu know that there are some big hitters in town and they are trying to get their hands on the Ricoh before they are pushed aside. A case of the bullies being afraid of being bullied.

I have to say that I know no-one in CCFC, ACL, the council or anyone else associated with this mess. I have no inside information. I just wonder at the reason for Sisu's Damascene conversion.

Whatever the reason for Sisu's new attitude, I remain to be convinced that it is because they have suddenly become Sky Blue supporters. They continue to be what they have always been - a hedge fund intent on making as much money as they can for their investors, regardless of the effect on CCFC.

This, I believe, is not a change of attitude, but a change of tactics.

But the Sky Blues have been told that before they go any further they must provide proof of a sensible business plan and, crucially, reveal exactly who City’s owners are.

Similarly, the Higgs Charity will not entertain doing business with City until there is greater transparency.

"The second thing is: Have we got the funds?
