Similar debate. Excuse the sourceOnly fair way would be points per game to decide final table.
listening to interesting radio 4 discussion. Key is absolutely stopping it from starting once it is almost impossible to contain.
Looks like there is nothing to cover this situation. All rearranged games need to be completed by the last week of the season.
The answer to that is no they can fuck offSimilar debate. Excuse the source
Prem clubs will vote whether to hand Liverpool title if coronavirus wipes out season
That would be hilarious if they called the season null and void and Liverpool had to start again!!!! LolSimilar debate. Excuse the source

Reading SBT has become just like being married.... your peaceful Sunday mornings are ruined by the noise of point scoring and being blamed for stuff you know nothing about :happy:I blame Covkid1968# - it must be named after him
Ok looking at Italy today and the rapid spread could this now mess up the season
Serie A games off in Italy
Any thoughts ? It may happen in fact more likely than not
I would think if worse came to the worse with less than a dozen games playing behind closed doors would be the first outcome.
Footballers immune??Yeah I’d imagined that would be first level of mitigation.

It’s the large gatherings though. See they’ve banned crowds > 5k in France now also. Seems quite likely to me that it will affect our leagues.Footballers immune??

Didn’t realise that, point still stands though.Doesn’t include football in France
Unless specific insurance is taken out for Force Majeure, it tends not to be covered. Look at GSMA and the MWC, it’s not insurable and they’ve suggested companies are going to have to take the hit.Clubs wont go to the wall.
There will be insurance to cover things like this. It's called Force Majeure.

Wonder which way Everton would vote ?Similar debate. Excuse the source

You have to think that would be the most likely scenario if large gatherings were banned. Ifollow would be a crap way of seeing your team get promoted (I’d still take it though!).It's the mass association of people that increases the possibility of virus transmission.
It might come down to playing games in empty stadiums.
I don't see any need to cancel the season.
Italy have just ordered all sporting events including the six nations game against England to be played behind closed doors.
can see the fa doing this if the situation gets any worst but what a shit thing for us if we get crowned champs with no fans able to see or celebrate
I wondered if they could even do some short-term deal to broadcast all fixtures on sky, bt etc. Would be lots of fans wanting to watch and could be a way for clubs to mitigate the losses they will incur. No idea if that’s feasible given existing contracts etc.If this happens then they should at least allow uk fans to have legitimate access to ifollow so they can still watch the game
Only one thing for it then. End the season now and current league standings stand:happy:
