I was out of the country and out of Sky access area last Sunday
Followed the match via this forum.
A lot of comments during the game made me think we were struggling, and lucky to be winning.
Watched the game last night, and could count the number of times we let Sunderland have even half chances, on the fingers of one hand. The energy and commitment was phenomenal.
We were the only team on the park that played any classy football amidst all the battling.
Referee was OK - Only two issues of any controversy in my mind - the reckless challenge from Sunderland that went unpunished, and the inconsistency with respect to throwing the ball away. For such a hard fought match I thought he did really well to keep the game under control with only the one dubious yellow card.
Obviously I was watching in a stress free environment - probably proves how fandom works when an intense game is being played live in front of us
