after that, if we score early it will be 4 or 5 - he has lost it totally

nonsense. we scored early at rochdale and just about managed to secure a narrow victory. any victory would be great tomorrow, a draw would be fine. at some point Ipswich will hit their tipping point and start winning a few games. i hope it is not tomorrow.

28/1 for an even better 0-3 to Cov. Pipe dream perhaps, but the last time I made a silly bet it went very well for me!

Last silly bet I had was £10 for cov to win 4-1 in the cup against Bristol Rovers with Matty Godden to score another hatrick both for the 3rd time in a row and Twatbrookes wouldn't even accumulate it for me either, I was feeling unrealistically optimistic
If they'd accumulated it I would have walked away with about £13,000 but it was a stupid bet really.

Can’t see anything other that a cosy Coventry win. Lambert is a has been manager who only ever has his own interests at heart.

I had a feelling we would lose 0-1 to Portsmouth
I had a feeling we would lose 0-2 to Rotherham
I though we would draw with Sunderland
I am also worried about this one
Where I was going with my hope im wrong, I've not predicted many right this year and every time I think we are going to lose they some how pull it out the bag.

So the back 8 will be the same and the striker so will it be O’Hare and Allen or Shipley and Westbrook. I think we know don’t we!!

Our players are completely done.

They know Lambert is going and they are not playing for him. They know the playoffs are effectively gone and they have given up for them. As the old cliché goes they are already on the beach.

I cannot overstate how bad we are. In the last 22 matches, only the bottom three have a worse points per game. In a game Lambert described as 'must win' Tuesday, we took 85 minutes to have a shot on target, only our second effort of the night.

With Jackson and Norwood injured we have no attacking threat. We have no midfielders that are capable of scoring regularly. We have no real identity and Lambert has pretty much upset every player this season. He has regularly dropped 5 or 6 players even after a good performance or a win and the atmosphere in the dressing room is really not good. The players aren't playing to impress this manager or even the next one. Nobody has any idea if they will be here next season, either from being out of favour, out of contract or wondering if the club will try and move them on due to their wages being too rich for a League One club.

To reach the playoffs we need two wins more than three in-form teams when we are 20th from 23 teams in the form table. I can honestly see you winning by four or five Saturday. I appreciate that some teams down the bottom put a performance in out of nowhere, but we are set for a disappointing mid-table finish, the most patient fans in the country have turned on the owner, manager and players and they simply do not want to be out on that pitch.

There's not even a semblance of pride. It's a team that has given up that, in the absence of a new manager being appointed, have nothing to play for. Very depressing times and the attendance Tuesday reflected that. 18000 - 20000 all season immediately dropped right down to 15000! Not even a small reduction but fans essentially giving up because they can see the players have.

All I could think reading this is Ipswich 1-0

(Note to self: don’t ignore Nick in arguments or the Match Threads disappear :banghead:)

Last of the “big” games I said I’d start believing if we were top after. Feels like it should be a walk in the park, especially after talking to the Ipswich fans, but don’t think it will be. They’ve held us twice already this season.

Weeks rest so hopefully everyone’s fit and ready. Keep the same side, momentum must be massive right now.

Going for a cautious 1-1, but mostly because my last three predictions have all ended up one better.

Setting off soon!

Hopefully we'll be weating our two-tone kit. Any idea how many times we've worn our yellow away kit? I can't think of many occasions...

3-1 city. Out of sight before too long. Shaping up to be the best season i've had the pleasure of seeing.

Narrow win. Because that is what Robins has been doing (with very few exceptions) ever since he arrived.

I’m expecting a really tough game today; Ipswich are a decent team and will be fired up after recent criticism. But we have a different mentality this season and should come away with at least a draw.

Last week really couldnt have gone better for us and if Ipswich lose tomorrow I think there playoff chances all but are over. So they're going to well up for it. I wouldn't be disappointed with a draw.

With Wycombe not playing, hopefully Peterborough take points of pompy. A win would mean another great week.

Cov draw
Rotherham win
Portsmouth draw
Sunderland win
Fleetwood win
Oxford win

110/1

This has all the makings of a typical Cov defeat in the past but not this team. They’re second half scrappers and will come away with something.

Don't underestimate Ipswich!
They are a side full of Championship players and have proved early this season they can be better than anybody on their day.
Yes, they are in poor form, but previous games have included Fleetwood, Rotherham, Peterborough, Portsmouth and Blackpool.
Their fans liken Lambert's team selection to a "lottery"... and people do win lottery's.
Let's hope today isn't that day!
They are saying it's rumoured that Will Keane is injured so Lambert's hand may be forced to play "Wilson" I think it is... (fans rate him and want him to play!) They think this forced selection will be a positive for them.
They are thinking that Lambert may just play Sears (proven championship scorer!) On his own... and go long ball (we know sears is not a target man!)
Massive banana skin here.
There is my usual pessimistic view....
Always swayed by our first sesson relegated Championship collapse when we were 4th with 7 games to go... and only won 1 of those, finishing 11th!
Come on City.... prove my doubt wrong once again....Please!!

Not had a chance to read SBT all week, so I’ve behind on all the threads.

However I’ve just read through this one and it’s quite refreshing to see, on the whole, positivity and confidence re today’s game.

I certainly share it, and I’m going 3-0, Godden, Walsh, O’Hare. While it would be uncharacteristic for us to win by such a score line, Ipswich are in a bad place and while we’re in an increasingly good one. Let’s take advantage!
