true, no new domestic cases reported Wednesday, though that's the official line.
But my point is, if things are worse there than reported how bad are they going to be here when we seem to be quite flippant about it.
Got to be honest, I didn't really look too much into the detail of this when it first broke but have started to over the last few days and I'm convinced draconian social distancing is the best way forward and think that is what we should be doing. As much as a ball ache as that will be for everyone.
Yeah I agree - personally I don't think a total lockdown is the answer as realistically it would have to last for possibly over a month in order to be effective and from then on strict social distancing / mass testing would still have to be implemented for several weeks. So by that point you're looking at a couple of months and the UK just won't do that unless it's completely necessary. Even then it's not guaranteed to work - and then it's all for nothing. So, I do understand the government's logic behind not wanting to enforce such strict measures.
Social distancing for a couple of months is most certainly the way forward but stricter measures need to be made as a huge number of people still continue to go to pubs, bars and restaurants. Big mistake by Boris not to enforce closures of such establishments.
