The only think I would say is the selfish shoppers are as bad as the pub goers.
If everyone stuck to their usual shopping habits it would stop a lot of the madness

I've stocked up for the week... bar bread. Might try early-ish in the morning some day to see if there is bread but if it looks mental (it will, won't it!) will come straight back. Might mean lunches of cous cous and salad cream, but there you go!

As someone who goes to the pub every night early doors (6-8) it’s going to be a strange habit to break! I shall have a shower and go for a drive in the car. Can’t stand sitting in watching the tv all night.
Maybe a slow drive over to Stratford. Then home for a nice bottle of San Miguel :)

A lot of the smaller shops seem to have stuff. My local shop always has bread.

On another note, seen some desperate messages from pubs about their future. I'll certainly be availing myself of their takeaway service, if possible. There's got to be something left to come back to, after all this!

What are you on about?

Yes, the people running their hands through the cardigan racks were caught in the wrong place at the wrong time...
You were close enough to see. Many may be having whatsapp group about you as we speak thats all im saying

Either way nothing you saw makes pubs any better to go to either

Why does branded food taste different from Waitrose? Bananas straighter, Andrex softer, wine better well no because Aldi regularly have better wine than Waitrose. You really are an idiot just like the twats that buy a Harrods bag to put their Primark stuff in.

It’s not got queues outside of track suited chavs outside trying to buy the whole shop out of stuff

It’s civilised. M and S in the Ricoh also has plenty of good stock left and Tesco’s is like Armageddon - I can’t think why

I admit I've been going out every two/three days for a walk and some fresh air (plus it helps my back) but I'm doing my best to avoid people while I'm out (not that I'm seeing many of them anyway). Should I need supplies I'll use that as the excuse to go a slightly longer route to get the walk in as well.

That's true, if you want detailed answers then Boris definitely isn't the man.

To me it just smacks of sheer laziness and a disregard for the situation.

If other ministers are to speak then that's fine and very welcome, but Boris should still be there. It shouldn't have to be either Boris or a minister, why not both?

There are different types of leadership. It would stink of laziness if he's sat at home in his pants watching game of thrones.

To me his response has been measured and rationale so far.

The issue is that with people like yourself he's damned if he does damned if he doesn't. If he did come out every day I'm sure you would have something to moan about.

No the obsession was with the murderers going to the pub.

The hundreds outside Costco this morning are obviously just fighting for their lives and have no chance of passing germs about.

Have a look at PVA as the example, a few blokes outside with a beer is a disgrace but no mention of hundreds needlessly standing next to each other for hours queueing... Again.
You're assuming that it's the same people

What does everyone feel about the distortion of incentives that yesterday's announcement might create? I feel similar to this guy - fully support the guaranteeing of incomes in the private sector but there needs to be even more given to those going on their and putting themselves on the line.

Don't you mean your hero?

He's in the shops after all, and we know the level of contempt you have for shoppers.
Says the bloke banging on about some blokes having a round of golf
You are right though sorry, shops can't pass anything on. Just pubs.

Agreed, it's madness. It'll get to a point where you can't get just the necessities.

Problem now will be as the Gov have effectively stopped most of the places you can go out to eat, more will have to go shopping. Other than the usual take aways and delivery places, haven't seen any of our local places offering to deliver, or some kind of collection option.

Unfortunately, my local shop is Morrisons!
The greedy people are also the laziest and can't be arsed to trapes around the little shops to get there food! So the poor old NHS staff come out after a long nightshift and find nowt on the shelves from the big supermarkets
