If that’s the case just get a load Uber drivers to start delivering the stuff if necessary !
What I genuinely don't understand in all this (not particularly your example) is why we're *asking* for things. In times of emergency, calculate how much we pay for a bed in the NHS, pay private companies that - requisition them rather than negotiate with them.

We tried the matchstick tennis ball bomb and the napalm. Good times.
I don’t think it was in there maybe a similar one but we made some hash cookies and ended up putting in an oz rather than a Q and then managed to eat 4 times the recommended size, ahhh the good old days.

Ive skipped it this week and decided to keep eating down what we’ve got
That's my plan for the coming week. Just doing a meal plan for the next fortnight... although of course it might be dependent on what's available when I get there, of course! Figure as I live fairly close to supermarkets, if I have a plan I can wander past and see what the state of play is, with enough time to bail and come home if / when it looks mental, and try and work out the best times to go.

How will they enforce it ? They don’t have the man power we can clearly see it’s not gonna work as the British don’t seem to care
In the same way that other countries are enforcing it, on the spot fines and prison for repeat offenders.

Hardly any countries are doing that

They’re doing it here, 40,000 people fined last week. Someone in court this week for going and being infected with CV.

Lockdowns are not being applied in the majority of European countries

The problem with it is it’s not going to be enforceable for any sustained period at all

Delusional.

The only difference, leaving aside outliers that have poured resources into track and trace, between any European countries is time.

I’ve been told to go into the school and when it’s lockdown I need to be there as many are apparently being targeted by idiots looking for anything they can steal. Suits me down to the ground! On my own lovely and warm radio on and internet and start on the list of jobs to do. No boozer no footie but it will keep me busy.
I had the symptoms before Christmas shaking like a shitting dog even tho I had a high temp, nasty cough and couldn’t get out of bed for 4 days! I think we have been hit by this a lot earlier than we think. I’m not elderly or one of the people at high risk but heaven knows if my old mum had what I had.

Basically...

The UK and US governments consider people’s lives as collateral damage for trying to save their respective economies.

At least we know where we stand yeah

No - we are not any different in our current approach to the majority of European countries

Not sure where in the country this is but we really are a nation of idiots. Fucking thick wankers.

What does it need for people to realise the severity of this situation?

I'd like to think that's not from this weekend but no doubt it is. Absolutely no excuse for this at all.

Driving me mad, seeing people on my socials who I thought had more sense going about as if nothing is happening.

People tweeting from a couple of the London markets earlier. Packed.
You have to wonder about some people's mentality.
