Delorge, Clement & Roussel were born in Flanders region of Belgium and would be Dutch speakers who learnt French

You've forced me to check this out! Roussel was born in Mons which is in the French speaking area. You are right however that Delorge & Clement were born in the Flemish area. From what I can see though there are still a sizeable minority (about 31%) of Wallooon French speakers in Flanders, so given their Francophone names I suspect that French is still their 1st language. Now Roger Van Gool would be a different matter
