I said that going to the supermarket is more important than going to the pub.

Does that make me a twat?

I think a lot of things are making you a twat - keep digging

Their strategy was herd immunity (though it's quite difficult to be certain because they kept saying conflicting things).

We had several weeks headstart over Italy and did virtually nothing while the rest of the world put measures in place.

Grendel and the other Tory fanboys defended this position to the hilt, happy to sacrifice lives to protect the economy.

It was a shameful response by the government, and the people defending it just because Boris told them to are just as bad.

The government has cost lives.

The government went for shutdown procedures too late. But to say that people were happy for thousands to die is pushing the boat out somewhat. You can’t conflate incompetence with malice.

We didn’t quite do ‘virtually nothing’. Trying to give you the benefit of the doubt here but drawing the line at accusing posters of being fine with mass death and seemingly enjoying the suffering of another

Exactly, to hope he has it and isn't well so he can see the state of the NHS is a bit silly.

He isn't going to see what the normal person sees.

PVA wants him to die I think we. An all see that

At least I didn't want thousands to die though like you did Grendel.

They're only pensioners after all, worth it in your world.

Thousands probably caught it trying to get some bread in Asda but I guess you are ok with that as well

But Grendel was fine with it. I can't be arsed to go back through hundreds of pages but he stated that a number of people needed to die to protect the economy, and he was fine with that. It was a despicable thing to say.

What the hell are you on about?

I said people need to go to the supermarket but they don't need to go to the pub.

That is not a difficult concept.

No they don't.

I haven't been to a supermarket in weeks.

If he really said that I want the evidence

On a sobering thought it’s just been said on tv a tiger has tested positively for Coronavirus at a zoo in America. Chap on tv did say animals do get viruses like us but usually not from us or give it to us. Early days I suppose but my pussy stroking finished today.

He seems convinced

He’s from the very start been frothing - he was also frantically praising Macron and said this government will do fuck all - he vanished when the uk packages were announced

Ahahahaha and yet you have your nose shoved right up Boris' backside. Pot meet kettle.

The Danish government have said they will pay 75% of people's salaries if the employer pays the remaining 25%. Impressive.

Not as impressive as the uk hey?

I posted this yesterday to show France's excellent response to the problems business are facing.

It was announced Boris would use his statement today to explain what we will do for businesses (possibly spooked into it by what France are doing?).

I hoped we might follow suit but it looks like we are sticking with what was in the budget:

He just believes people on twitter

I'm not sure what your point is.

The government has done a good job with the furlough payments and the package for business, I'm not denying that.

But that doesn't take away from the fact they have cost lives.

Or that they refused to take part in the EU ventilator scheme.

Or that the PM boasted about shaking everyones hand in hospital.

Or that they keep promising thousands more tests than we are getting.

Or that they keep promising PPE for nurses and doctors which is not materialising.

What was the EU ventilator scheme? Let’s start there.

I’d have preferred a UBI but aside from Canada I don’t think anyone’s gone further than us

You know full well what it is. If you don't, then look it up.

I'm not going to spend all day arguing with you on here.

And to think, this all started because I had the audacity to suggest Johnson probably shouldn't have boasted about shaking hands with people in hospital and that he might get to see what his party has done to the NHS.

How dare I make such statements!

The scheme was to order ventilators and get them built. It hasn’t worked and all countries are getting manufacturers to build them as the uk are and you mocked the approach - look at France here - they’ve given up on the “scheme”

Again you read a headline and froth

He’s on ‘oxygen treatment’ now apparently, not sure of the specifics but doesn’t look good.
