I would put bottom 3 together with 3rd to 7th of league below into 2 mini leagues
Top go/stay up 2nd play off against each other
Could be done at 2 grounds over 10 days

this would mean also extended divisions for couple of seasons

You can think back to the times when we survived in the premier league as perennial relegation candidates. So relegating a team who still could pull through would be wrong.
Awarding the title to a team clearly about to win it is just a sensible decision.
In the other leagues promoting the top two would be an unprecedented decision but these are unprecedented times are they not? I can't see too much objection to that based on the 35 games or so already completed. Again no relegations.

As for the playoff chance of any team this is the biggest sticking point. So would it be possible to hold a mini tournament at say Wembley involving 5 or 6 teams that could get trained and fit just for this BCD? Played over two weeks it wouold be far lesser risk than the whole league starting up BCD. This could be closely controlled and monitored. The alternative would be no playoffs which seems unfair.

Which ever way you look at it the overiding factor has to be safety.

Our lead isn’t clear at all. How can you not relegate teams on the basis they still have chances but promote teams when the teams below still have chances?

You are speaking as a CCFC fan. If we were 3rd with 10 games remaining I suppose you would want the season to continue as it’d be the fairest way and would benefit us the most

It's not perfect but the best that can be made of it during these unprecedented times. That's why I suggest a mini tournament for the chasing pack. Whatever decision is made you are looking for the fairest and best solution that won't satify everyone but may just be acceptable by the majority.

You certainly do not want to follow what has happened in the Scottish championship do you?

They aren't going to want to start next season late having already moved the Euros. UEFA are going to insist next season is over by mid May. Champions league final to be played before 1st June. Then the Euros start mid June.
I think if we haven't finished by 1st July season will be ended. Just hope it's not voided.

As long as the season isn't voided then we as CCFC fans are happy:

Season ended now as it is - we go up
Season ended now on a PPG basis - we go up
Season resumes (behind closed doors) - gives everyone a fair chance to battle it out for the points

However would we be saying this if we were 7th or 23rd?

I think so
We would be a little annoyed but accepting the fairness
On the same basis would you not give Liverpool the premier league?

Looking at the league it feels like it’s a situation of ‘look what you could have won’. The season needs to be completed, the Scottish situation doesn’t seem fair although we would benefit so I’m all for it. Random computers or experts could lead to random results and form leagues are usually broken in the final 8 games or so with bottom teams beating top teams for survival. No matter what they do it will piss someone off. Just think all decisions seem to be relying on the premier league rather than all leagues

Playing behind closed doors would still make more sense and be a morale booster for the public with little risk to the players. Void the season and reap a whirlwind when play eventually resumes

if all our competitors got 2 points per game from remaining fixtures, which is top of the table form, we would need 12 points from 10 games, which is bottom 6 form
