Exactly. Every team has dead games at the end of the season. Is it now going to be acceptable for teams to say they don't want to play them as it will cost money?Only dead rubber fixtures because they have nothing to play for. Can we all start to call them dead rubber when cash gets a bit tight. sets a very dangerous precedent.
Also, are they really dead games. They are 8 points clear of relegation with 9 games to go and Tranmere have a game in hand on them. They've lost 3 of their last 4. If that was us I wouldn't be considering things all over and looking to next season.
