How many points do you think we need for promotion? I reckon between 15/18

If it restarts which I feel certain it will. To guarantee promotion we would need 23 points from our remaining 10 games but i think in reality all we will need is 12 or 13 at the most. I sat and did a post about a month ago "time on your hands" where I put my forcasts against a Doncaster papers predictions and i said we would get 87 points which would have left us well clear.

They will be no restart in league one, final table will be decided by PPG, anyone waiting for league one season to start up again sorry but zero chance it happening... players already know this, will be confirmed by EFL very soon

If the Prem starts, then there is a good chance everything starts I'd have thought. And that looks likely. A completed Prem with all others void makes little sense, although a completed Prem, and the rest by points / game might.

It makes perfect sense as they have millions riding on resumption and can afford the added costs

The season will not restart imho. It also won't be voided. The reaminder of the season will get cancelled and standings as of now will be recorded and used to decide the final league table with possibly a ppg ratio used. Get ready for promotion!

The loss of momentum is a real concern for me if it starts up again, a win in that first game back would be essential.
Yes-thought that myself as we were going along like a train at the time. The only consolation is that it’s the same for everyone else too.

I'd be shocked if the season did not restart. The government seems to want that well.

Just can't see the season finishing, just consider how many would be involved in just one game behind closed doors. Totally impractical during this crisis where every life counts. We just need to hope the right decisions are made and not one further life is lost due to a miscalculation because of a false desire or greed

Not that many. There will be less people than in a average sized factory or office and these are already open.

They are talking about circa 300 people, multiple that by number of games being played and the numbers ramp up

But multiply the number of factories and the number of offices and the number gets even larger.

300 people can safely be inside a stadium.

The main issue would be could the emergency services cope and at the moment the drop in non covid-19 call outs suggests they can.

every team will have loss of momentum! only those players who got something to play for will make a difference

Use PPG scenario then the 1st & 2nd get promoted play off games for the next 4, No relegation which will inflate the Premiership by 3 then 1st Division by 2 and 2nd Division by 2. Next Season Premiership Bottom 5 Relegated etc it will straighten out by the following season

Yeah and we were one of those in the ascendancy so it’s hardly the same for all the teams. We’d have some pretty tough games during the run in against teams with plenty to play for too.

Would make the most sense. Either everyone in the Prem gets a little less money next year or the Premier League pay it out of whatever rainy day funds they have

Everyone in the P L would get less. The pot would be split up 21 ways not 18.By the way if the Premier League is not finished the T V companies will be liable to recieve £762 million back.Me thinks it will be finished'

Suspect it would be nearer 100 at our level. There was only 300 at the England v Croatia behind closed doors game, think how many media would have been at that compared to our games.
Good point, outside the pl and championship there only needs to be 80 to 100 in a large stadium.

The monetary numbers involved in Football will not influence what the virus does, but the numbers
of infections, Deaths and available hospital beds will influence what Football does.

I'm not on about when it restarts i feel with that sort of money (average of over 38 million pound per club) I think it will finish whenever it is safe.

Did think it would start but now having serious doubts as time goes on and furtehr bad news i fear – Think the PL will possibly start due to the money and legalities involved but some of the ideas non contact in penalty areas will ruin the game – ELF serious doubts with many overall concerns particularly league 1 & 2 how many teams potentially will go bust.
Take a deep breath don’t be surprised if the season may not start I fear till after Xmas or next AUGUST? Basically scrapping next season. More and more people are realising without a vaccine it will almost be impossible to organise and keep league 1 & 2 afloat. Could very well be only PL and possibly at a push Championship behind closed doors for considerable time. However there are now rumblings in PL dressing rooms that the players are at odds some wanting to play and some not

Forgive my stupidity but if it goes to a PPG basis where does that put us in league standings

Again if they've all undergone a strict quarantine before hand there won't be any infection so contact or spitting for example really shouldn't be an issue.

Wing mate this thread is full of wallpapers who like to post nonsense.

There will be less than 100 people in the cov games and the players will be tested

15 which may not be easy as some think

That said unless every club can play their home games at ground it looks ublikely

France have agreed ppg which bodes well for our title hopes though
