Williamson seems hell bent on getting schools open whether or not it makes any sense, seemingly because other countries are doing it. Not willing to play that game Gavin

Its always good to see a man that was sacked from his last ministerial post for sheer, unfathomable incompetence being responsible for what it will probably be the biggest test of whether we get through this virus without killing half a million people.

Don’t tell anyone but I’ve actually been there. Worlds worst fairground. Fantasy island.

Which is the best then, just asking for a friend?

Good he’s a fucking prick, never has anything positive to say just negative all the time, like some on here....
Why do you always have to be positive? It's not negative to point out that when things are going wrong.

This you must be positive blitz spirit bollovks must end

A fucking prick who up til now has largely supported the message of the Tories and thought Corbyn was useless. But now he's actually doing something close to what he's supposed to do (with a fair amount of self-promotion added in it must be said) you want him sacked because he's not supportive of Boris Laaadd!

He's got plenty more stuff that is worth sacking him for over the years than what he's been saying recently.

Learn the difference between negativity and critical analysis.

"OMG you want that to happen to score internet points and because you loooooove labour and corbyn"

That will be seen within the next couple of weeks.

I'm not sure I've ever wanted to be wrong more in my life because if I am thousands of people will still be alive and that is worth as much humble pie as I can shove down my gob.

I am curious though. How do you put a positive spin on thousands of avoidable deaths in nursing homes for instance?
Well you'd explain that all the other European countries had around 50% infection in homes and that you'd managed to keep It out of 65% of homes .

It's quite scary to be honest. As NW pointed out earlier politics has now become so.partisan it's frightening and people aren't bothered about seeing politicians held to account.
It’s the Brexit effect again, if you were to go back in time a mere 5 Years most of these people
wouldn’t have had the slightest interest in politics ‘and even less understanding of it.

They were persuaded ‘something they’d never really paid much attention to ‘or considered
remotely important was actually the very reason for everything that was wrong in their life.
They turned out in their millions to cast their vote (a novelty for most) and against all odds
they won, only to then find they would probably still be denied the victory they craved.

Boris promised them he would “Get Brexit Done” and “Take Back Control” and despite all the
opposition he delivered (in their eyes ) the Torys can do no wrong with him at the helm.

Johnson won't be sticking around long if the polls keep heading in this direction.

Why won’t he? It’s totally irrelevant going forward to the next election

Cheerful on Marr show with WHO scientist suggesting society may have to live with the virus for 5 years.

I think he’s more referring to people within his own party making moves - not the electorate.

His rating on one poll just before the election was 10 points lower than this now. Some of Thatchers were dire
