Mid table we competed with Birmingham with ease and should have won both legs, with a few improvements I think mid table would be a good 1st season back, don't want to nevers and pressure of a relegation battle.

There’s a difference with sustaining it in the league to one off cup games. Worcester bettered us a few years back. They’d have had no chance of finishing above us in the league

Very true was at the game was a embarassment. I think with a good investment we will easily be midtable.

If the sensible thing happens and we are back at the Ricoh then we have a really good chance of survival. Anything above that is a right bonus.

Both businesses lost money last season it would be remiss of them to do so next season. Think both will play hardball though. Funnily enough businesses agree mutually beneficial agreements in spite of no end of disputes etc. There’s a deal to be done and lots of money for both parties to make

So much depends on summer signings, but I would back Robins based on previous seasons to recruit well. 17th-14th is achievable and would be further progress for the club.

We will give it a good go.

Build a stable squad in the championship for 3 years, have a huge push in year 4 in time for us to move to our new stadium in our return to premier league year :)

Play offs. Few quality signings, great team spirit in the squad, coupled with most teams needing to trim squads and face point deductions, could be the perfect storm.

Provocative point, but was talking to my Dad last night and we both agreed that promotion next season wouldn't be great for the club. We'd be destroyed in the premier league without time to develop a squad. That said i won't turn it down if we do get there haha.

It’s hard to gauge right now. If we’d have been able to continue playing, I think our momentum would’ve really carried on into next season but who knows what’s possible with this management team, the team spirit and a couple of quality additions. We surprised many this year, we may do the same next season. Mid table upwards would be remarkable but there are a lot of factors still to consider; home ground, keeping the squad together, whether we are able to add a few clever loans and free transfers etc. The next couple of months will be interesting that’s for sure. It’ll be so devastating if we aren’t there to witness in person though. Let’s hope this virus pisses of sooner rather than later.

promotion would be amazing for the club. with sensible spending, would set us up for years. The income dwarfs any revenues from match day beers and non match day functions

For any promoted team in the history of competitive football the aim is to avoid relegation. Once you have achieved that you try and kick on.....

Agreed. Look at how Luton have faired, after a previous season where they , at times, ran away with League 1.
The step from league 1 to Championship is huge. If Robins keeps us up it will be a big achievement. We need to keep faith with him in what could be a hard season.

interesting, most on here, so far have more or less intimated that staying in the league would be a base to make further progress the following season but we know the reality is that we will lose a substantial number of games and the support for robins will waver. it really should not waver. just think back to how hopeless we were pre robins.

not really sure of the background but sheff utd somehow finished 10 in their first season and followed up with promotion. that is the dream.

Didn’t spend as much as Wolves and Bournemouth but they were splashing the cash even in League One. I think Fleck went there and trebled his wages
