Reese was unfortunate with injuries. But wonder what Charlie Wakefield did (or didn't do) to warrant being released ? Thought he had some good reviews when he arrived from Chelsea.

Pleased with the list and glad we've kept the majority of the squad together I think thats really important , lost 1 really key player in Walsh but he wasn't ours, Sam macallum will be replaced and I have no doubt we can now afford to push the boat our a bit and offer the 6/7 k a week to get o hare to join... Looking forward to seeing what we do...

Have to imagine there are players under contract who will be moved on.

I dont think there are too many I would want to move on, I think he will try to shift kastaneer for peanuts just to get him off the books but maybe I'm short sighted and Robins still has plans for him... He might have extended baka for a year so he could get a fee... But I wouldn't want too much more going... I think we will sign around 6 players myself

Big of Hickman to admit his stupid mistake. Why is there allways that one bellend to rub it in though. Quality of Dabo to call him out.

I agree with you Corrado - this David Michael Collins poster sounds like an absolute tw@t. Kicking a young lad who is no doubt heartbroken after leaving a club where he has spent his formative years.

Moreover a young kid who no doubt heavily regrets one moment of stupidity (that in my view) was completely overblown. Hickman issued a statement immediately after the video, it was very apologetic and seemed very genuine.

His response to this Micheal Collins was absolute class - by playing professional football I have no doubt that Hickman has done far more in his first 20 years than that tw@t poster will ever achieve in his life. I seriously hope Hickman can make it back into the professional game - he seems like a good kid who was on holiday with mates and a few drinks too many - some even on here acted as if he committed the crime of the century. Best of luck to Hickman in his future career.

Kasta will move on surely. I likeneded him to horse racing where u buy a prospect, put him away for winter and train them up to unleash on Doncaster Lincoln day, new trained, polished superstar. Perhaps that's what's happening but let's be honest, he didn't even complete 90 mins in the 23s did he?

Thompson is highly rated but we're going up leagues now, interesting to see how these young lads do.

I used to work with Dave, small world.

Hickman won't be a professional footballer though so he does have a point

Don’t rule Kasteneer out just yet
I still think hes worth holding onto and getting a full preseason in him. He's powerful, skillful and has pace. I actually think he could end up being a central striker. Hopefully if we bring in Hamer that might help him a bit as well.

I don’t think it will take 6/7k for O’Hare mate probably half of that I feel on a 3 year deal he knows he’s gonna play football here who knows where he could end up we could end up picking up a big fee for the lad later on

Will be interesting to see how Jobello performs next year. I know MR rates him highly.
Also, Jodie Jones. Not sure if he will be a Championship starting X1 player.

Jobello and Jones are both players who can stretch the play and actually play wide and whip crosses and cut in. Different system for them almost.

The peanuts is a good idea but I think you could shift him with a trail of any other snacks - pretzels, pringles, maybe even some bombay mix. Bet he loves pickled onion monster munch too.

It is different, but Jodi Jones used to play as a 10 as a youth, if I recall correctly.

The system we play could be adapted to incorporate either 1 or 2 wingers in the two behind the striker. It will benefit us having added pace, and that role is pretty ideal for wingers as their defensive duties aren’t as important than in a traditional 4-4-2 / 4-3-3 / 4-2-3-1 and so on.

Wasn't too long ago that I was arguing against some numpty on here who said Baka would be playing non-league next season. Looks like he'll be part of a Championship squad. Needless to say...

It doesn’t mean he is staying

We turned an offer down for him I believe

I think he turned down the move didn’t he? As it was Bulgaria you can hardly blame him

At best he will be here til January. I’d imagine Robins will be hoping he can get a small fee back for him before the start of the season instead of a free. No way will he be anywhere near the first team picture in the championship.

We don’t know who we’re signing yet and we need a bigger squad for the championship.

Currently in the striker position we have Gooden, Max and Baka.

Hiwula flopped bad this season and is being let go and then JP I’m not really sure about. He needs a full season in L1 on loan as a last chance.

It wouldn’t make sense to let Baka go just yet.

I suspect there will be another marquee striker signing to play with and challenge Godden.

Reckon MR will draft a young loanee striker in, already linked with one at Chelsea can be successful. Trouble with signing named experienced strikers is they cost big money in fee, wages and usually a 3/4 year contract and can almost wipe a transfer budget out alone.

I was thinking that you could potentially have a winger in the ACM positions to go wide and stretch a defence across the pitch as well as having the central players to collect second balls and run at goal. Need to make sure they're just as capable of shooting as crossing though to keep them guessing. Jobello I think they'd know he would be more inclined to cross. Jones probably more inclined to shoot.
