The problem is that the left claims to be tolerant, but it is completely intolerant of any opinions that don't match with theirs.

Racism is an issue, so are social issues within the black community. People don't like her talking about it because it doesn't suit the narrative that they are 24/7 victims.

He was talking about Italy's colonial past, so presumably he means anything since 1861 when the country was founded. I know about their attempts to colonise parts of Africa but it is not something that is celebrated really, I mean I have never seen anything related to it.

Identity is very different here compared to the UK, so makes it more complex, I guess. I would be surprised if many outside of Lazio had any identification with the Roman Empire.

I do admire your tub thumping nationalism - given they were late starters (it didn’t form as a modern Italy until 1800’s did it?) they soon got in with it in east Africa and hung on a lot more than some!
