SBT Awards: Young Player of the Season (3 Viewers)

Criteria: aged 21 or under at start of the season.

Tough field this one, lots of good young players who made an impact this season.

Some of the favourites:

Liam Walsh

Here on loan but that might not matter, shaky start but once he hit his stride, oh my what a stride!



Jordan Shipley

He’s one of our own! Excellent goals and assists stats, a regular for the first half of the season works hard, loved the club, and shows the occasional real touch of class.



Callum O’Hare

Another loanee, didn’t have as much chance to shine as Walsh but vital towards the end of the season. Real edge of your seat player.



Sam McCallum

Got his big money move to the Prem (sort of), some say his performances dropped when he came back on loan but don’t let @covcity4life hear you say that.



Ryan Giles

It was a really nice run and cross.

another hard one.
Seen as I plumped for Dabo over Walsh on POTY I'll go for Walsh for YPOTY. There were times when his passing was Hoddlesque and I consider Hoddle to be the greatest English midfielder I've ever seen so it's high praise.

Over the course of the whole season and for his consistency I've gone for Sam though not surprised the flashier players further up the park will get majority of the votes. That he got a move to a premier league club on this seasons performances says it all!

Was torn between Walsh, Shipley and O'Hare. It's pretty close for me but Walsh edges it.

Such a shame he won't be continuing his journey with us. Was really progressing.

Really hard choice. Shipley definitely has a strong case as do McCallum and O'Hare. But I'm giving it to Walsh because I gave Dabo POTS.
