you seriously think they're not connected?
It would be like saying a thread about poor tactics had been hijacked by mentioning the manager.
We have stopped entirely talking about George Floyd though and hardly a single mention of BLM. It's seemingly turning into a Labour /Tory /party thing again.

They are obviously connected, but we have gone way, way off track.

So basically this guys big hard mates legged it when the numbers didn’t favour them like the cowards they are throwing their mate to the lions. Nice.
Thank god for Good Samaritans. Meanwhile one of his mates was pissing on a memorial to a fallen hero.

Not sure why that makes it ok for a group to stamp all over one person?

Just the same as the c**t walking through a park giving it loads.

It doesn’t. Hence these guys stepped in after his mates legged it. The point is should the shoe have been on the other foot how many of the right wing protesters would have done the same for a BLM protester? Given these are the people we saw set about an innocent white couple just trying to have a picnic in the park minding their own business.

I agree, fair play to the bloke and his mates for sticking up for him.

If the shoe was on the other foot, the focus would have been on the gang of people stamping on somebody.

It was. At first. Now veered right off, as does nearly ever thread that gets political.

I am expecting it to turn to Brexit soon.

Happy to oblige: since the Brexit vote this country has seen a rapid and sustained drop on opposition to immigration, seen by many on the left as a proxy for racism.

Brexit: the best anti racist action of our lifetime, discuss.

Maybe so, but I don't spout my beliefs and ideals on this forum. I thought it was a football forum? (Although I might post something on 22nd July!)

Start of the grouse season?
That's the "Glorious 12th" - of August, Otis! Mind you, it wasn't so glorious for my oldest brother. That was the date he kicked the bucket!

22nd of July is the date of the Anders Brevik attacks. Although it seems his likest fan on here has been banned

Lineker doing like he did with the stuff about our fans, jumping on and pushing something he doesn't realise isn't real.

It's dangerous.

Some might say slanderous. Get the feeling Lineker thinks he’s untouchable with the things he posts.

It's as if they see things that fit the view they are trying to portray and just push it and retweet it over and over.

For people who are so opinionated and in their position they don't ever look into things before they push them.

Fair play to the man, although with his statement of saving someone from being killed doesn't look good for the BLM - he's basically insinuated they'd have murdered him.

As for the new shooting case (Brooks) from the video he most definitely resists arrest and runs. Which gives the police every right to go after him. Of course the questions are did it require deadly force (he was running away so not a threat to the policeman) and would the same have happened if they were white? One of the reasons I don't like normal police having firearms - far too easy for them to just grab the gun and shoot.

Never been booked, thinks he's an angel.

On a serious note, he should be removed from the BBC's payroll if he's pushing opinion or only one side of a story.

Lineker is a freelancer and as per the BBC rules unless you are employed in a news or current affairs capacity you can have and post whatever you want.

Got to feel for the staff and management of the restaurant, why the hell they've been targetted for doing the right thing about some drunk blocking their drive through is really unfair.

I think that's been missed. There are a fair few cases of groups of blm people crowding around stamping on other people.

It's no different to the edl type cunts in the park but again like we saw in Coventry, people don't want to face up to particular actions and accept that there are wrong uns in all "groups".

It will get to a point where it will be people thinking they can do whatever the fuck they want because so and so is.

But that's the point, it's shooting someone when they didn't need to shoot them,

Compare to the arrest of Dylan Roof who is a mass murderer.

Most of them are freelancers or work for a 3rd party production company, but if that's a rule then it needs chaning. Don't want to silence free speech of course, but he is a prominant face on the BBC and if he told people to vote Tory, dare say some would. Can't see how that would sit OK with the Governers.

As long as he's not doing it on a BBC show why? Are you not allowed an opinion if you work for the BBC? Not like he works for the news/current affairs is it?
