It doesn't mean every thread should start about ira though.
Careful to distinguish between Gerry Adams and the IRA.

no people who think terrorist acts and the people who instigate them are funny and a source of provocation have no place on a football forum and should be banned
He should be banned for existing on this forum solely to abuse his fellow Coventry fans. But yes he's really gone off the deep end recently.

What alternative truths? I think anybody wielding a knife is causing terror and should be classed as a terror attack? Hows that an alternative truth? If they're intent is to kill or injure while terrifying people, the in my eyes, it's a terror incident!
And how did anyone "bury me" on anything?

Because it's not a terrorist attack is it. There is a definition of terrorism and not every knife attack falls into that category.

Forgive me but I'm not going to go around in circles with you on this basic fact.

I'd like to pointed out were I have said it wasn't terrorist related. I've said the police at the time were not treating it as such.

I did laugh at Greggs comment that it was racial and related to the BLM rally though.
Did you LOL all alone ?

Tony and ROS aren't abusive though in the main. David is constantly abusive and if anyone disagrees with him they go on block.

I agree, I don't dislike anyone else really. I may think they are lefty drips but they probably think I'm a righty twat so fair play. David on the other hand...

Didn't rule it out, no.

"Police are not currently treating the incident as terror-related, but counter terrorism officers were called." That was this morning.

Would guess that as standard in situations like this, the counter terrorism unit are called and involved as a matter of course.
I read that it was terror related last night.

He's got me on ignore, but then always reads my comments if others quote me. Its like he's given up drugs but is still tempted.

There's a massive difference between choosing to scare yourself on a white knuckle ride/skydiving/bungee jumping and being attacked by someone while minding your own business.

It's not an 'attack' if you choose to do something that terrifies you.

Fine. Severe earthquakes are terror attacks...

Terrorism is a political tool not just a word that means violence in public. The IRA uses violence to try and get a United ireland. Basque separatists use it for an independent Basque, ISIS to establish a worldwide caliphate.

Some bloke going mental and stabbing/shooting people isn’t terrorism unless it’s aligned with a political aim.

Do you think half of the Isis terror attacks have been political? The one in London where they rampaged into bars etc they were off their heads on drugs while they did it.

Either way, this is a terror attack. Horrible c**t should vanish.

I'd say they simply don't know at the minute. I'm sure the picture will be clearer in the coming hours.

I will take a guess

He was known to the police

He is an obsessive cannabis user

He was a loner

It’s broader societies responsibility for creating this as young people like him are offered no hope in the uk

He isn’t a real terrorist he’s just a bit mad (but that’s nothing to do with excessive drug use and actually if drugs were legal he’d never have acted in the way he did so it’s the government’s decriminalisation strategy to blame)

Perhaps also like a certain chap who beheaded someone he will get some compensation

He will cost the tax payer a lot more money than the average pensioner revenues in pension payouts

Strange that he lived in London but committed the offence in Reading

Yes! They were aligned with ISIS’s political goals. That’s why they’re ISIS terror attacks!

FFS how is this hard to grasp?

I meant the actual people who carried them out. They don't have political goals, they are animals.

‘terror related’- what does that actually mean here? Has this guy been linked with an organisation, is he some kind of sick lone wolf psycho who did this in the name of a cause, or what?

If you want to create an argument on definition use Michael Ryan and not an earth quake

No it is a terror attack
Can it be confirmed if it's a terrorist attack by a single person who has absolutely no links to any group without first doing an assessment of the state of mind of the individual ?

Exactly- everyone is proclaiming “It’s terror related!” & maybe I’m missing something but what does that actually mean here?
