Thing is here AT got 2 goalkeepers in and got rid of 1 so surely that was a waste of money there that could have gone on someone else, AT is as much to blame as the rest of the people at the club who have a say in what happens.
He knew the score when he took the job on so he knew what he was up against so I have no sympathy for the man, he is paid to do one thing get results which he didn't do for nearly all of the season.
However towards the end when it was virtually nailed on we were going down the team suddenly start performing, Cody start's playing gets some vital goals, I doubt he was injured for all that time he was out, I just think in my opinion that AT is pig headed and if someone doesn't tow his line and disagrees with him for whatever reason he freezes them out of the squad until he has no choice but to play him.
Try the results got better once he was allowed to bring in a couple of loans that connected midfield to attack....you know the type of players we no longer had.
He won't go anywhere. He loves sisu, sisu love him, the gullible fans also love him. Work that equation out.
I agree the words SISU and truth don't go together, but are you saying you knew they were going to get rid of nearly our whole first team last season and not replace them? Until then they had let managers bring at least some of the players in they wanted. This changed after AT became manager. He would not have had a clue what they were about to do. Same as we didn't. We knew they were cost cutting, but not getting rid of as many costs as they could. They were even still talking about keeping King who was on 10k a week, but strangely enough never got around to giving him a contract to sign. They released it into the press he was about to sign again, alerting other clubs he was not under contract. Was this done on purpose? We will never know.

It didn't sound like he loves sisu when he was on the verge of saying what he really thought of them that time on cwr.
Why revert to abuse?
Are you incapable of debating a point?
On to the issue you so eloquently replied to....what have you seen (assuming you do go to the games) in the last 48 games to suggest that Teflon will achieve anything with the players we have?
Try and reply with words bigger than 4 letters, eh? :jerkit:

Did he?
Are you sure?
Have you checked your stats??????
I agree, Macca, it is Teflon's choice to stay...however, he should then expect scrutiny and criticism when he fails...as he has done.

God that's desperate. On the vege - so why not go the whole way then! Oh because they offer him a new deal. He said things had to change or he wouldn't sign. Do you think things will change - no. Do you think he'll sign - yes. Face it he loves sisu as any new owner would sack him. Want thorn, LOVE sisu.
Thats a very poor argument Duffy, People backing there manager doesn't make them love sisu.
Unless we replace him with an exceptional manager (which we can't afford or attract) it is a risk to replace. No new players are coming in, so we need a new manager to motivate and organise the ones we have...as Teflon has proved he is unable to do this.
So the stars were kisses then : D
But without them thorn will be gone. So who do you really think thorn backs? Really?
How do you know Thorn would be gone if sisu were not here ?
I think it's very short sighted to think that we were relegated because Thorn was our manager.
Has it really got nothing to do with all the cuts to the playing staff, really ?
I find it hard to see how anyone can judge him with the squad he has had to use this season.
Before we even kicked off this season, the bookies had us down
Why was that ? It can't have been because of Thorn because he had us playing well with some good players in the team the season before.
Maybe it was because the bookies could see that the squad wasn't good enough for the championship.
And for what it's worth I don t blame thorn for sticking around. Why quit a job where the employer rewards failure?
We're not the only team that have stuck with the manager through relegation this season.
Relegated teams
Wolves - caretaker, new manager In
Blackburn - sacked manager
Bolton - kept manager
Doncaster - kept manager
Portsmouth - kept manager
Coventry - kept manager
Wycombe - kept manager
Chesterfield - kept manager
Exeter - kept manager
Rochdale - kept manager
Hereford - sacked manager
Macclesfield - Sacked manager
Darren Ferguson has been up and down a few times with Peterborough.Other than Nigel Adkins how many managers get the club back having been relegated from the Championship?

Where is the abuse in my post :thinking about: ?
Is this coming from the man who thinks it's intelligent to refer to Thorn as Teflon, or by ending a message to me with :jerkit:
Believe it or not you are not the only person who goes to the games so lose the same old tripe of " (assuming you do go to the games) " as it's very boring and shows you need to grow up.
As it happens I do go to a lot of games, but even if I didn't, then it wouldn't make your opinion more important than mine.
Now the point I was making was that you saying Thorn had proved he is unable to motivate and organise was only your opinion and had not been proved.
If you can't handle that then you shouldn't be posting on here.

I have seen AT do well not last season the season before.
Taking the same bunch of players that were playing crap football under AB and losing left right and centre heading for certain relegation.
Were we heading for relegation...?
Were we in the drop zone when Teflon took over?
He was in charge for 10 games...a short term effect is easily achieved...and he won 3 games from 10...and played against several teams with nothing to play for.
A manager is judged on results over a prolonged period...a full season is ample.
