Yeah but every match seems to be like that in Scotland...gimme the English league any day

Virtually every English league game is pretty shite as well including many premier league games i've seen this season

Using this logic, the Cypriot league is also surprisingly good and so is the Austrian league... Honestly chaps come on I know many have vested interests in celtic and rangers but fuck me the league is abysmal

I don't dismiss professional sportsmen as shit easily.
I've had this same argument with a colleague over Andy Murray and Tim Henmann, both of whom he dismissed as shit.
Just because someone's not at the pinnacle of their sport doesn't make them shit.

But Murray won Wimbledon in an era dominated by all time greats.

Celtic would never win the champions league today

You've massively missed my point and this argument was pre him winning a major

Tbh mate I didn't, you're mate doesn't know tennis if he thought Murray at his best was shit, he has just been unfortunate with the level of competition

A shit league doesn't imply every player there is shit mate

Of course not. But I think it's better than you're making out.
I have had this same arguments with happy clapper EPL fans slating the lower leagues. Though I credit you with a bit more knowledge than them so surprised at the points you're making but never mind.

I don't know why I let myself get dragged into this but for me the scottish league is poor compared to most top level leagues in Europe... Celtic would not win the championship today... That's where I'm at.

David is definitely a massive celtic fan BTW, hence his illogical argument...

Of course the Scottish league doesn't compare to the top league's in Europe.
I'm.not trying to make out it is.

I spent a couple of years watching Scottish football when I could, I don't have the service now so can't.. To me celtic were miles ahead of the rest, this season I would have fancied City to finish mid table or better in the spl... No problem

BTW, a tad away from the SPL.. I feel too that the prem has been below its normal standards this season even pre lockdown... For any team to win it as clearly as Liverpool shows the competition just wasnt there.. Hopefully next season is more competetive

I have been to Celtic park to watch a game and the atmosphere is awesome so I can’t blame him supporting Celtic

I have no problem with that of course, my brother in law is a huge celtic fan travelled across Europe with them he's from Girvan, he says the same as me... It's shite

They failed to win it with similar pts tally last year

To do it 2 seasons in a row is phenomenal

Can't see anything but another shoot out between them and man city though I think the gap to the others will close slightly due to some of the emerging young talent at United/Arsenal/Chelsea though they've still got a way to go

United look like they are 2 or 3 players off being competitive again at the top... Looked good post lockdown and Chelsea already signed a couple of good lads so could be better... I agree though, city and Liverpool next year

I don’t get the whole Celtic/rangers thing down here.

I mean loads of people seem to support 1 or the other as a second team.
It explains a lot of the anti rangers stuff in here for sure. Notice alot of city fans have links to Scottish teams via Irish or Scottish family

More so Celtic than rangers . You see it alot on twitter

No I get the rivalry, I get the religious thing, just don’t get why it’s a thing in this country.

I mean I don’t see people picking river plate or boca juniors

I have always wanted to see rangers do well rather than celtic ... But I don't support them

Because a lot of people have relocated to England from areas where Celtic and Rangers draw their fan base from.
Same as passion for India and Pakistan at cricket in England and they're a lot further away!

That’s part of it for me, people want to have an interest in that rivalry. I have no idea why and I don’t get it.

People get heated for a club they don’t support, it’s like us having an argument of who we want to win in a Inter v AC Milan game

Think it's bit sad that the guy ripping Ryan Kent and Steven Gerrard to shreds has been outed as a Celtic fan pretty much

Save that shit for a Celtic or rangers msg board. We are ccfc and talking about it as neutrals

The main reason for me is I served in the British army, and regard myself as a royalist and for the union ... I have zero connection with celtic.. I do with rangers... I also have no problem with celtic fans
