Utter nonsense.
We had a 1 year option & triggered it.

I think maybe he means 'free to leave' as in we're not going to negotiate further and won't stand in his way if another club makes an offer for him? Also more likely with O'Hare coming in and with Allen, Shipley probably ahead of him in the pecking order and people like Jones and Jobello (Kasta if he can pull his finger out) how could also be competing with him in the current formation.

Heard a rumour that Westbrook has turned down a contract offer

That bit is clearly nonsense so whoever told ceetee it is telling porkies but by the tone of his message I think he'd summised that anyway.

The free to leave bit is possible but I'd be very surprised unless we bring others in. Jones & Jobello are totally different types of player, we have no idea how they'd fit in to our current system.
Kastaneer will be free to leave as he was in January.

Let's be honest. If we were going to improve upon what we have we would probably start with likes of

Westbrooke
Baka
Biamou
Mason
Drysdale
Wilson

If any of them were to go we wouldn't moan as long as replacement in

Midfield is a very tough place for competition this year and there’s been other champ interest in him. Would be a way to get a transfer fee and give back to Robins to be able to give decent wages to attract the likes of CoH and GH.

As would I, just think there's something there... Big, powerful could play off the shoulder with his pace... It's been done before....
By players who actually gave a fuck and put in a bit of effort, though. I think we need to accept that if he couldn't get into a L1 teams U23 side, and was poor when he did, he won't be tearing up The Championship.

Drysdale has just signed a new contract and will go on loan somewhere, agree on the others though

Heard a whisper they will listen to offers for Westbrook last week not a creditable source tho
Sort of, not really, There is a really complicated situation atm around westbrooke, don't want to say too much (don't know what I can ) but it could be solved, I know I have literally no credentials but im 100% sure it's true

Would be a shame to see Westbrooke go. Certainly not a key player but scored some very important goals against Southend, Lincoln and Fleetwood to win us games last season. Definitely played his part in our promotion.

It's a tough one with Westbrooke. Would he have been in anyone's starting XI in League 1? I'm not sure. He did better than I thought he would do last season and is improving as player though. I wouldn't be in a hurry to offload him but I see us recruiting in all areas of the pitch and if we stick with the current formation we can probably fish in a slightly better pond for players to play in his position.

Westbrooke starts for me over Shipley. I think he will be a great player in the championship. Can pick a pass, score a goal and set up for others.
Yep love his passing style such class. Think his physicality and pace may be an issue but he’s young and improving

Maybe but for me, and only judging from ifollow because I’m abroad, he bottles 50:50s way too often. Is that something you can learn? Feel like you either have that aggressive streak where you love a challenge or you don’t.

I still think we need another striker. Love godden but pace wise think he’ll really struggle in championship.

No offense or Nothing against urself like, but if it's personal or private let's not speculate on matters regarding difficult circumstances on a public forum as it does no one any favours, just saying....PUSB

Plenty of slower players who have done ok in the champ mate service is key
Yeah maybe. You’re right about service, and if he has Allen and O’Hare pushed up high next to him it’s less of an issue. I guess it’s just really obvious when he’s isolated but that’s a different issue

I agree with this. I’d be more worried about Shipley adapting to championship than Westbrooke. I agree with others that he lacks physicality but his first touch and passing is the best at the club. Always been surprised by how few people rate him. That’s not to say I think he’ll be standout in the championship, to be honest, I’d say both are probably good league one players, but he’s better than most give him credit for

So if Norwich keep Jamal Lewis do you reckon we could get Sam McCallum back on loan for another season? Or maybe if Wycombe look like they are going down maybe we could poach that Jacobson

Of course Allen, Shipley and at a push Westbrooke would be the first to think of replacing Kelly. But Allen and Shipley are both more attack minded. Westbrooke doesn't really like getting stuck in tackle wise. None of them have the physicality of Kelly.

That's why I thought of Pask - defensive minded, but with a bit of pace and seems capable of pushing a bit further forward if necessary.

Would probably depend on the opposition and whether we felt we needed extra defensive stability or the technical attributes of the other choices.
You remember that guy from West Ham I think his name is Declan Rice he used to play CB now he plays CDM so Pask could fit there because of his physicality and his pace and his dribbling looked decent when I have seen it

We will probably bed Pask in over McFadzean slowly over the season so a backup will probs come in January if we need one

I honestly think pask will become a solid player for us next season if he is given the chance, was so unlucky with his injury last season and was very highly thought of at West ham before he came here so for me a new CB I'd definitely below a new lwb, st and CDM cover

Robins has said he is waiting for the championship to end, which suggests there could be someone from there, also the transfer window is open until early October and then there’s the loan market I’m intrigued to see who we end up with I reckon it will be atleast another four, just wondering if some one here is off elsewhere
Also looks to me Robins is working to a prepared plan now he has O’Hare over the line he’ll move onto the next on the list, intriguing.
