Season tickets at St Andrews (Trillion !) (6 Viewers)

For starters, I don't think we'll sell a Trillion season tickets, but I still think of it as St Andrews.

The club must be desperate to start selling season tickets, but will obviously be restricted on numbers due to ground capacity restrictions. Opening other stands will obviously allow an inflated number, and I'm guessing the club/Blues are trying to sort the logistics/options around this. I'm going to get one, but may not set foot inside on day 1 (shielding etc) What are people's thoughts? On a separate note, I bet the police will be happy if City v Blues is an early BCD game, to avoid silly buggers going on between fans1

Can’t see them flying out with people forking money out in these strange times talks of second waves etc flights now being put off as esssntial only again just can’t see many being sold any time soon.

If we was at the Ricoh tho I feel a lot more would of been sold as everyone would of been so hyped up etc.

Even if I only attend a handful of matches I will still buy one to help the club. This year above all others they need our support.

Why stop there m8 ?

I'd imagine most of the tickets available will be taken up by most of the existing St holders... Hopefully there are a couple thousand extra for people who want to go along

Hope you are right Evo. Quite a few older folk have season tickets (educated? guess by me!) and although they may be put off by Cov-id, they are also those least likely to have been affected financially. In addition, having been likely to have supported City for years, I'd like to think a lot might do similar to me/SBArcher etc in supporting the club.

Speaking with somebody from the club today, it sounds like we are getting close to an announcement over season tickets. I was told that the club are having to deal with a lot of complexities. I didn't choose to delve but I picked up some concern over the lack of income over the past months. There was talk of possibly opening up the stadium in October, though please don't take that as gospel. Presumably, the club is working on ifollow for ST holders for the initial set of home games.

I’m getting one for me and the kids. Just haven’t decided if it’s going to be in a box or not 😎

I'm going to do a couple hospitality games next year but nothing beats being amongst it stood up making some noise. Same block again for me (I can't remember what it was because I lost my card)

We are obviously a club with a multitude of issues.
We are also probably the only club in the top two divisions ‘where this particular issue isn’t an issue.

Exactly what my situation will be, I would say when we hit the bottom division was when the club needed us fans the most, but this year they do really need us all to commit and get behind the youngsters as i think it will be a hard season, and mid table would be fantastic. Won't stop me dreaming of us going unbeaten for the first four months, with the title won by end of March 21

Season ticket for me and the boy. Moved to Birmingham 22 years ago (we live and learn) so was probably the only Coventry fan that was pleased by the announcement*

Will wait and see what the eventual plans are regarding distancing, f&b etc (am hoping for no f&b, one way systems, all stands open, mandatory masks and sanitiser available - anyone else feel their hands are actually dirtier after washing them in the toilets at football grounds?!) and will need to see what the numbers are like in the community before I decide if I will actually attend the games, but I will buy a ST because I don’t want the club I love to fold, and having sufficient budget to stay up would also be good.

Bit worried about what the numbers will be like this season with all of the shit surrounding it (BCD, Covid, Birmingham, SISU etc).

* logistically. We need to be back in Coventry ASAP.

As a side note, has it been said anywhere when fixtures are getting released? I can’t find anything.

there is no set date. Although I did see mid August 3 weeks before the season starts is the timeframe.

I actually think attendances will be good, if allowed. I know its a stress to get to Birmingham but the lure of playing decent teams with big away followings (again, if allowed) will draw a lot more out than we expect. For the first season only, if we're there again season after then I suspect it will start tailing off.

Infections yes. Deaths no. We’re saying if you ever had covid and later died you were being counted in the stats. Even if you died by being knocked over by a bus

Sky news reporting different households can’t meet up in doors now seems to me
It’s starting all over again
