Actually, I'm criticising the very performance in front of me, I know exactly how we played last pre season, we were not as sloppy, alot sharper and didnt look a million miles away... This performance says we have an awful lot of work to do... Rather than say It means nothing because its an irrelevant match... And I get that attitude but the fact is the gulf today was bigger than I'd have liked it to be... We could easily have lost by several goals and had we have done so... People like yourselves would also be screeching on here.

Important today to get minutes in and I understand result is of secondary importance but I’m a little worried that Allen, Shipley and Eccles (especially) have been played out of position. Perhaps not crucial on a preseason friendly but with so many players in squad it’s a bit of a surprise. I don’t think Robins has had his best 11 on pitch at any time this afternoon whereas v Rangers he started with strongest available. I’m sure by next weekend Robins will again put his first 11 on at the start.
I question Hilssner’s fitness, Baka as enigmatic as ever..not a championship striker, Godden still looking v rusty. Worry that we won’t score anywhere near enough.
Positives: Giles going forward, Bapaga for the future, Burroughs the same.
Desperately need Rose and Dabo fit; a striker proven at championship level; another central midfielder and a back up central defender.
