Forget about him m8. Won’t fit our system anyway. He’s too fit, needs to run a bit less and put on a few stones.

Plenty around for sure but good ones cost money pal & want good wagesTo be honest, we have several creative players around the middle of the park (usually the hardest types to acquire). Finding a tackle, head it, kick it player who just has to hang around in front of the defence shouldn't be too hard ( oh for a new Lloyd McGrath)!

Another day No Sheaf Clearly he don’t fancy it I don’t think let him play arsenal Under 23’s he’s in lala land if he thinks he’s getting anywhere near their first teamTime to move on to other targets me thinks.

I worry about your understanding of the word 'clear'Clearly he don’t fancy it
Why? It's hardly uncommon for players and their agents to play hard ball in the negotiation stage of their contract, if that's what's even happening. It's only been around two weeks since it was reported that we'd had a bid accepted. Fair enough if we're having the same chat in two or three weeks but the fact remains that transfers are a hugely complicated process and some can take a while to get over the line.
Last season we were going to get Ben Woodburn but that fell through and we got Callum O’Hare instead so sometimes things work out for the best

We were never in for Ben Woodburn...
Did you bother to read the article?... yes we were

Report: Arsenal will sell youngster Wenger called 'very cool' for £750k
Arsene Wenger predicted big things for Ben Sheaf at Premier League giants Arsenal but the midfielder could now leave the Emirates for Coventry City.www.hitc.com
Genuine question, and no I don’t think we should drop Sheaf just yet, but when was the last time an extended transfer saga worked out for the club?
Just a repeat of the Sun story that started all this annoyingly.

What I'm concerned about is this player finished the previous season in March, then has a break from playing and goes on holiday. Doesn't sound like a player putting emphasis on maximising his development
I hate to break it to you but he had a glass of wine on that holiday too. Probably be finished as a player by the time he's 25.What I'm concerned about is this player finished the previous season in March, then has a break from playing and goes on holiday. Wages the issue the rumour doing the rounds regarding sheaf,
Still time tho
Lazy rumour by people putting 2 & 2 together that I think.
Where there is no news, people will always fill the void
It could literally be anything too. Maybe he had a niggle so was given a week off on holiday and a few days to test it before a medical. Maybe we, or he, want clauses around relegation that need longer negotiations. Maybe the club need to confirm an outgoing player before we can afford him.It does makes me laugh when fans come out with comments like, "fuck him off if he doesn't want to sign" simply because a player hasn't signed within a couple of weeks after first being linked. If managers gave up on targets because they didn't sign within a two week period can you actually imagine the amount of deals in football history that never would've gone through.

Where is this 2 weeks you keep quoting coming from?
How do you know this has only been going on for 2 weeks?
It is perfectly plausible that talks were going on long before the press got wind of it, which was ironically about 2 weeks ago.
