I dont want to turn this into a hate thread or slagging of one of our own players and obviously Robins and co see something in him but can anyone see anything really positive in him?

We don’t have anyone else behind Godden except for him and Max.

Really like Baka. Got height, pace, strength, powerful shot, great attitude.

Scoring record in terms on actual minutes on the pitch is OK.

Think his issues are mostly mental IMO, plays within himself too much and in our set up isn’t as good a finisher as Godden so will need more chances to score the same amount, but I think when he’s on the pitch he does more work for the team than Godden chasing down defenders and the like.

I think if Robins can get him playing in tune with his own vision then he'll be a great option to have. I don't consider Baka a bad player by any means, he just needs a bit of self-belief and to use his physical attributes to his advantage more.

Bang on. Think the mental side is quite a big one for him. For his size and strength he isn’t that brave, sometimes let’s work rate drop. Could do with being better with the ball at his feet as well. Has a lot of potential though.

I think he needs to put a stone of muscle on,with Godden Baka & Max we will struggle for sure

I would think he seen enough in the lower leagues to realise he won’t cut it in the champ although against blues in the cup he was brilliant he just doesn’t do it enough

So you’re saying that the last time he played against Championship opposition he was brilliant, but he must realise he can’t cut it against Championship opposition.

wtf are you actually on about, do you even know yourself

There has been games when he’s looked more ‘up for it’, and I’ve been impressed with him on those occasions. If he can learn to play like that every game then why not play him. A bit like that annoying switch Dele Adebola had.

It saddens me to think that it’ll be the cult hero Biamou who’s leaving.

Ring of shite good evening you nause,

If you go to games (questionable) You will know yourself he’s below the level needed in the champ forget sentiment with a front 3 of Godden,Baka & Max we will be in trouble.

He may be below the standard but unfortunately we cannot attract or afford 18 Championship level players. If we have 11 we’ll be doing pretty well

Stop whining and try to learn the game, other comments on here are pretty bang on, you need to understand the game more before constantly whingeing & slating everyone, you did that all last season and looked a bit silly. Do you know how much a proven Championship striker costs?

He’s a poor mans Adebola but in the end he’s got a ticket to the championship which he couldn’t have imagined in his wildest dreams so it’s up to him to take it or not

The majority of our squad are risks, it’s the only way a self sustainable and a club with a low budget can compete. Hilssner has played the majority of his football in Germany’s third tier and Da Costa was a regular in a side who stayed up in Ligue 2 on goal difference. We have to hope we’ve found some gaps in the market

Hmm. And there was I on June 9th thinking we were set up to sign loads of championship names.

Baka is barely a league 1 striker let alone championship level.
if we dont get in at least one decent 15 goal striker at this level we will be back in league 1

It's hard to pin down a striker like that, mainly because alot of strikers in any given season can have a great year or a shit year.Mcgoldrick at Forest then us for example... . System and players around them all contribute to their season tally... Could get James Collins in after a 20 goal season for him to score 8?

Proven scorers that you want, are out of our price range

MR has no other options right now and unless he brings in a few loans in the next few weeks Baka gets in the game day squads. Max is outside looking in and maybe being touted about to see if they can free his wages. Apart from Godden the others might as well be forgotten as they will not be in any of MR plans for the season. If Baka is what we have good luck to him, but i dont think he is the answer..

Out of the strikers that scored 15 last season who would you bet we could afford? Or even have afforded before last season started?

Still think in and around the box, godden will do a job for us next year, but we need a new alternative too

if we can we should go for a striker and get the very best we can afford to help stay in the championship, may be someone from abroad, this is the most important position that needs to strengthened
