My cousins husband is related to him, they used to chat to me about him and expect me to tow the (he's the real deal) line, my biggest problem is that I say it as it is... They stopped talking about Jordan around me about a year ago

Yes, good luck to the boy, a good club with good fans, think he’ll enjoy himself, and hopefully help Wrexham back into the EFL.

I'm told that it's a high sell on percentage rather than a fee
Hope that is the case. I’m fairly sure he will be a success there assuming injury doesn’t haunt him again. Wrexham got to the play offs last season so I’m expecting them to be there or there about which means should he score 20 there will be a lot of interest in him.
Wish the guy all the luck, sorry it didn’t work here for him but I’m sure he will have a good career. Natural goal scorers are a rare.

Can’t help but notice how many players have wished him well via twitter. Has he not been at the training ground with them since the players have returned? I know they’re a close bunch but just seemed a lot saying goodbye luck’ this way
He has been training from what I can tell, or at least I've seen the photos at Ryton.

I think a lot of it may be to do with the fact that he has done relatively well for someone who had only ever played Sunday League age group football before and for Strachan to be thrust into an academy environment, do very well in the under 18s and under 23s, and not too badly during our League 2 season. Then got unlucky with the injuries. He turned down other clubs to sign for the City, so clearly had an attachment to the club, if not quite the ability for the Championship. Nothing stopping him from potentially kicking on, being just 21, and he is still very raw, which is why the physicality of the Championship is probably a step too far for him at this stage.

Any chance we have a buyback clause? Might be worth having if he’s any good

I'd have put one in as well but it's not mentioned.

A sell-on percentage could work for us in a similar way that puts us in front position because whatever fee we paid we'd get a 'rebate' due to that. So we could put in a higher bid than others because we'd be getting so much of it back.

What Ponticelli has proved is there are avenues into pro football other than Acadamies. Not seen to be good enough as a kid so went to the Strachan foundation at 16 got his head down worked hard earned and got a chance here, bit unlucky with injuries which held him back that’s the perils of football but he has stuck at it and should all being well have an on going career in pro football. One thing he has shown is he has an eye for goal, he’ll be okay.

I really hope he does well, and good luck to him, but we needed rid, saw nothing to suggest he will cut it at league 1 level let alone Championship. I imagine L2 is his level.

Dont imagine there will be much point in a sell on clause either to be honest.

But, good move all round at least he will now have more game time

Lovely words by him. Mature guy
Made a point of liking all the social media posts wishing him well also. Small thing, but shows a bit of class. Hope he does well, he’s been incredibly unlucky with the way things have gone but still seems to have taken it all on the chin and just got in with it.

I hope he scores lots of goals for them and then gets linked with a move back to Cov every single transfer window for the rest of his life because he’s one of us innit.

Shame it didn’t come together for JP a with us. Unlucky with injuries and a poor loan move last season.

Ultimately, a move makes sense for all parties involved. Personally, I do think he could become a really good L1 striker if he develops well.

This move is important for him and I wish him all the luck.

It's a good move for him as he is at the age where he now needs to be getting regular first team football and can try and get his career back on track. He certainly isn't at Championship level so needed to move on.

I noticed this too! Wasn’t expecting to get a like on mine but it came! Nice touch really, rather than just concentrating on the players etc

I thought so. You could tell from his leaving message he’s gutted it didn’t work out as well. Just hope his next move works out for him.
