Seems there was always a need. Ewood Park in the 1920s this - naively I didn't expect people to park as they do now!

Parking should always be set up so those first in get to be the first to leave. Otherwise what's the incentive to arrive early? You get a mad rush nearer kck-off to try and be as late as possible so you can get out first.

Reminds me of Brandon on a Saturday night in the seventies - esp for Stox. Jammed in bumper- and door-to-door. No chance of leaving early unless you were on the edge rows.
