Just seen Harry coming out of court, reporter asked his lawyer is he a free man,. His response was at the moment yes,

Could he be jailed before the season starts???

Apparently one of the group he was in tried to pay off the police to not take it to court. Could well have been him

BBC said:
Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has been found guilty of repeated bodily harm, attempted bribery, violence against public employees and insult after his arrest on the Greek island of Mykonos.
Not sure about Southgate publicly supporting him and including him in the squad while he was still on trial.

Has to be taken from the England squad for the foreseeable... Not only because he's shit... But because it will look incredibly awkward on Southgate after the sterling /gomez incident if you let him away with it

Am I right in saying that as long as he doesn't commit another crime in Greece for the next 21 months he's basically gotten away with it?

He’s appealing and the Greece justice system is hardly the most reliable

Do you not know how suspended sentences work? Which are mandatory for 1st time offenders who commit non serious crimes in Greece.

He's also going to appeal and he has a good case. Prosecutors shouldn't be able to only define the terms and evidence in a case at the last minute and Judges should allow defences enough time to go over said evidence.

Not particularly no hence my question.

What happens if his appeal is rejected/unsuccessful?

Why? The Greek courts have agreed he has grounds for appeal and now he legally has no longer been found guilty and will be retried by a higher court in the next year or so.
The treatment of sportspeople and their indiscretions is so skewed and inconsistent.
