Yakubu's signing was a waste of time, but he got done a bit dirty by that video of him injured but having to stay out on the pitch, but instead presented and circulated as just a lazy bastard mooching around

Jodi himself said the post is his personal motivation... Or something along those lines.. I think he's fine
Hopefully he turns it on this season.

If he does, I'll take one for the team and call him shit every post season if it gives him motivation. ;)

Hes not exactly been picking up statutory sick pay though has he? Not like he's had to make cut backs at home with his spending because he's only getting £95 a week dropping in to his bank. And who's been paying that wage? Us, the people who have bought shirts, tickets etc. So as wage payers, like my boss pays my wages can tell me im not pulling my weight and need to buck my ideas, then surely were all entitled to an oponion?
Yes, it could have been worded better, but he hasn't directly @ or tagged JJ. If a footballer or actor or singer uses social media, then surely they have to expect that occasionally they'll read something they don't like/don't wamt to really see?!

Sorry what point are you trying to make? That footballers who are injured should go on stat sick pay? How many players do you think would sign for us with those conditions?

Your point about being wage payers and entitled to an opinion is nonsense. The club pay his wages, as fans we pay to see games etc. That does not entitle is to any kind of opinion. We only believe it does because we are emotionally invested.

Yes, they will see something they don’t want to see, what does that have to do with anything? The only point is that something may be quite damaging to them and maybe as fans we should consider that.

Someone earlier made the comparison to a builder being off work for 2 years because of injury. They wouldn’t get 100% pay like a footballer does.

Look at some of the comments on here - also posted yesterday - don’t see them making the local rag or having a thread on here

It’s almost like the paper don’t read every single tweet and only write stories about ones where hundreds of fans get involved and players start commenting.

I was replying to a post talking g about anybody on here would expect to be paid when off sick, 95% of people on here will only get SSP, that was my point on that.

As a paying customer, next time you go out and have shit service or a shit meal, i expect you to sit down and shut the fuck up, its the managers job to tell the staff the food was shit, not yours!

It’s a dumb fucking comparison because a builder isn’t undergoing rehab for his profession and builders are much easier to employ than professional footballers and so don’t have the same protection.

There are plenty of jobs that pay more than SSP.

Defending his right to say exactly what he wants on a social platform is what some are doing, others unsurprisingly want social media and other forms of communication to seemingly be Controlled so not to cause upset.. Because feelings

Yes mate. Everyone who says you shouldn’t be a c**t to our players for no reason wants social media controlled to stop upset feelings. Well done.

No mate, he was a c**t freely on social media and didn't tag the player... If jodi has gone searching his name and found something he didn't like that's on him... The player has been here almost 5 years and played hardly at all... People are correct to assume his career may not end well

Because other dumb people are trying to defend him.

Whose dumb? Surely you can't be insulting me? I'vw not insulted anyone I've been aware of? Why would someone be dumb for seeing something differently to you?

I'm not defending him as such just pointing out that some have taken it too far.

The builder would be trying to get back to being fit enough to work again. In Jones’ case he has been paid full whack for years and barely played. It isn’t his fault but then again nor would it be for many others

As I pointed out above Twitter was promoting his tweet, almost certainly how JJ saw it. Players are not searching their own names because they generally get dogs abuse and it’s terrible for their mental health.

As stated many times people don’t have issue with the idea his career may come unstuck, it’s was the manner it was said.

And the guy who posted it has conceded as much so let’s move on

Why has one guys dumb comment on Twitter got 7 pages on here? 🤯

Because the player in question responded. That is literally the only reason. And is also why players don't rise to 99.9% of the shit that's said about them, whether online or in person. So weird how many people don't seem to get this.

Jodi has alot to prove here, that's undeniable... The club have looked after him and paid his wage.

There will come a point where he has to start repaying that loyalty... Or he will be moved on...

That's the bottom line surely

Back in the day, my first tentative steps onto GMK were around the same time a MrsDeanGordon signed up to ask how her husband was playing, after he recently signed (bearing in mind GMK, not absolutely sure it was real, but she seemed sincere enough!). People were very nice really, but the mask was harder to keep up as the season went on.

She stopped asking after a while.

If jodi gets another bad injury that keeps him out for a while, fans will change their opinion and demand the club stop wasting the wages... Il guarantee it
