I didn't like the original tweet, but that's the world we live in. People think they can just say what they want online without any consequence. Not something I'd have done but each to their own.

I don't even know him, I just felt disappointed at the time that the club and the telegraph sent the hate towards him it was really unprofessional.. Player opinions are all over twitter of every club and I cant ever remember a club calling out a fan for a player opinion

The tweet was a valid opinion though, should people be allowed to pile on because they don't agree with it.

Some of the shite that gets posted about players and managers on here is far worse.

I think he stated he never recovered from his first ACL so it's kind of linked somewhat to injuries and his future

Any opinion is valid. If you post something controversial you expect comeback. It shouldn't be personal though.

Yeah fine, but as far as we all knew he was at the very final stages of recovering. Nobody knew he’d pop another ACL, especially this soon.

I didn't either, but I think that after his first and then very quick second, you can conclude it's a possibility... In the same way it's a possibility it happens to callum Wilson again

So when Grendal attacks Biamou you'd be ok if people piled on to him?

Someone was giving it tight to Ben Wilson a few weeks back would it of been alright to pile into him?

My point that he stated his opinion which was that Jones wasn't going to be good enough to play at this level for City and people turned into a lynch mob. People are entitled to their opinions and people can disagree but you can't seriously think it's okay for people to start calling people a c**t etc for not thinking a player is going to be good enough for city?

No, I absolutely hope jodi proves him wrong, not that he has too... But unfortunately at 22 it's a long career ahead to now not do something serious again after recovery... Especially when you appear to be quite injury prone... I like all of us really hope jodi can return and have a great career

He didn't recover from the first one. He couldn't fully straighten the knee, it went again. It's why a different surgeon was used second time. This is a new injury, not related to the other knee. I don't think it'll be any pre-disposition to this type of injury, it's probably a mix of bad luck and that his playing style lends itself to this type of injury. Physically he should come through it. Mentally is a different matter.

I'd be ok if people disagreed and called him out. Shouldn't be personal (including name calling of any sort). I've said that already.

(PS - maybe I'm too old but I've no idea what 'giving it tight' means 🤣)
