Hamer is as good as you’ll ever get as a replacement for Walsh the kid is quality and he’s doing it in a league higher I have a feeling people will go on to say he’s better than Walsh this season...remember we’re not at full speed yet in terms of match sharpness this group will get better and better

He will be up there for the most profit made on a player.

Boateng was a 5/6 million net profit. Think Hamer and Dabo will be both £5million potential profit.

Last season much of our play was based around that distinctive pass from the right into the midfield to someone like Walsh, and then Dabo receiving the ball back and getting us further up the pitch.

Tonight he showed that he can take that a step further and dribble up the pitch. Hamer is a great player but seems more defensive minded than Walsh, so it's great that Dabo can go it alone when there isn't someone available for an infield pass.

His energy is outstanding. Been injured for 6 months, plays 80 minutes on Tuesday then a full 90 on Friday and powered up and down that wing all game.

Considering we earn about £9m a year for being in the Championship and he's so key to our game that's where I'd start the bidding at.
