Looks like the u18s season is going to be a delayed start, no game this weekend with a number of players unavailable.

How come the U18's haven't started yet? Are we having to isolate or something due to a positive test?

I don't think they are, they're playing Crewe on Wednesday

Apologies: just found the report again now and City actually won 4-2 at the Alan Higgs Centre yesterday, not 3-1. Goals from Sam Rodber, Joe Nightingale, Sam Pitts-Eckersall and Harrison Nee.

CCFC U23s v Crewe:

Tyler, Burroughs, Rowe, Thompson, Williams, Newton, Lafferty, Bartlett, Hilssner, Jobello, Kastaneer

Crewe played Newcastle 23s last night in the Checkatrade so imagine they have a fairly young team out.

Crewe U18s 0-0 CCFC U18s this morning.

They had beaten Blues 4-0 and Forest 5-1 so it’s a solid defensive display.

Our next 23s game is on Wednesday against Wigan at 1pm (unless it’s been rescheduled)

Our U18s were on the wrong end of high scoring game this time as they lost 7-4 to Blues this afternoon for their first defeat. Aidan Finnegan was in the line up against his former club.

Malakai Reeve, Harrison Nee (2) and Aaron Evans Harriott scored our goals.

Nee has a very good start to the season with 6 goals in 4 games and should be pushing starts with the 23s

Team: Bell, Harland, McGrath, Finnegan, Reeve, Howley, Hewitt, Nightingale, Rodber, Nee, Evans Harriott

Our U23s are away at Watford this afternoon, there doesn’t look to be any team news from our end but I think the Watford official will post updates. 1pm

Three potential first teamers there. Let’s hope they come through unscathed.

Do we reckon none of these are in contention for tomorrow then?

U18s currently 4-1 up against Colchester. That lad from Cheltenham scored two, Evans - Harriet

It was 5-2 in the end. McGrath, Nee (2) and Evans Harriott (2).

Nee has 8 goals in 5 games playing as a number 10 I think - him and Evans Harriott should be playing for the 23s, hopefully they will once Hilssner and Jobello are back in the first team
