That Mahomes is some player isn't he. Already destined to be a hall of famer.

What a player..

I've seen a debate raging online if you'd rather have Mahomes or Jackson.

Mahomes every day for me, not only is he incredibly talented but there is always going to be a worry that Lamar won't have the longevity the way he plays.

Not sure it's even close. And that's no disrespect to Jackson whose record against everyone bar the Chiefs is very good. Just that Mahomes is that good.
Mahomes just shredded one of the best defenses of the last 2 seasons. His passing range is 2nd to none.
Worryingly that Chiefs defense looks even better than last season. Plus an upgraded running game. Going to take a special effort to stop them repeating as long as Mahomes stays healthy.

In other news, Washington is somehow still top of the NFC East with a 1-2 record after being terrible. Really is a poor division at the moment, Washington and Giants been bad for an age, Philly can't keep injury free and rely on a QB that is breaking down and Cowboys still underachieve (or just an average team hyped up because of their profile).

God know what to do with Haskins though, he looks like he's not improving and was worse last week than he's been for a while. I guess it's a case of give him the season, if he can't do it then take one of next years prospects. Shame for him though as he has no protection and nobody to throw to.

Yeah, read this morning that they are going to give him a season.

Depends on how many pastings we get though. Expecting one next week for sure.

Don't get the Cowboys. On paper it's a loaded roster. Jarrett was a poor coach.
Persistent stories of a poor dressing room.
Maybe comes down to Prescott not being a good enough QB or leader to get the job done.
Did think McCarthy would start better and tighten them up.

Suffering same as the Vikings. It's a decent defense let down down by a sketchy offense that proves if you haven't got at least an average O line you're going to struggle.

But are they that good? I think Dad is an average league QB, a lot of his numbers are not coming from clutch situations. Zeke is a top 5 RB and Cooper a good receiver but after that I don't think they have great lines on either side and a sketchy backfield. Maybe I'm being bought off the other way but I just see them being over hyped because they're the media darlings.

Although they have had a tough opening and they should comfortably win the division.

It's a very good D line with 1 average safety, some below average corners an overpaid decent safety and a terrible safety. On the offence they have 1 very good 2nd year player in McLaurin and that's about it.

Got 2 top receivers in Cooper & Gallop. Lamb is a potential game winner. All capable of 1000yd seasons.
O line still one of better ones in NFC. Zeke as a RB.
Secondary weak but Diggs is a good draft pick there. But the offense should be scoring big points - maybe the Prescott contract situation is getting in the way

You could be right, as I said, I can't work out if they're an overhyped average team or just underperforming.

Escaped with a win with a 3rd string defence - not helped by Smith getting ejected -had looked comfortable until then. Smith's replacement Iloka was woeful and been out the league for 2 years
O line showing some improvement.
Jefferson even better than I thought he'd be. Great hands. Going to be a big player.
But with Barr definitely out for season and Hunter probably as well going to be a difficult season.
Don't see us breaking even.
When Cook can run we're going to pick up points but looks thin when he can't.
Cousins has to learn from the likes of Rodgers - just dump the ball if you can't get it away quickly. Rodgers had a couple of seasons behind a poor O line and that's all he did.
Got to be impressed by Brady after he recovered from a shaky start yesterday. Bucs continue to improve at this rate and they could make a run in the playoffs. That was a decent defense he was up against yesterday.

Brady looked like Winston there for a little bit giving away a pick 6.
Thing is, now, you just believe you have a chance of coming back even when 2 TD's back.
Brady just gives you that 'something'

Feeling quite confident getting a play off spot this year..
Go Bucs! (Go Rays and congrats to the Lightning)

Titans shut down again due to Corona, Multiple NE players have it now. Letting the NE/KC game go ahead just 24 hours later than usual was so neglectful it's unreal.

If it were in Europe I think we'd be seeing talks of a pause in games. But it's the US, $ is king and that's what will keep the league playing.

Dwayne Haskins has been benched for Kyle Allen.

Personally I don't see the benefit in that, surely he learns more from being on the field. Big decision to make if they have a top 5 pick next year.

Should play him through. His short college career means he needs to play to get the experience.
Shouldn't think Allen's the answer the way he struggled at the Panthers behind a better O line and with more receiving/running options than Redskins seem to have. Must be the history with Rivera swaying it.

Surely that means it's in KC too now. They need to be isolating them when outbreaks happen.

KC already had a case before the game, their backup QB got it around about the same time as Cam. There was a few jokes about it because he'd been playing the Cam role in practice.

Just got into NFL during lockdown - draft was on then blitzed America’s Game and Hard Knocks documentaries.

Still trying to pick a team wanted to go North and have a ccfc under dog.

Narrowed it to Browns or Bills but then both quarterbacks starting to click and teams looking good. Seahawks on the radar too but don’t know if that’s too easy a choice?

It’s weird trying to pick a team, if you look back in the thread I was doing the same. You can’t easily tell what’s for you but just go for. I suggest just go with your gut and stick with the one. I’m now with Washington similar to how I am with city, although nowhere near to the same degree.

Don’t worry about an easy choice either, the NFL turns round way more than the premier league. Also once you’ve picked a team the games are more intense.

Joy and curse of most NFL teams is that you'll see good and bad times if you follow long enough. Bills had a great side then bottomed out and now rebuilding to a strong side.

Patriots have beaten the odds by a massive extent by wining so much.

The NFL is the ultimate one for shit to great. 49ers went from a 4-12 season to the super bowl in 1 season. You never know what’s going to happen. Its so tough that players can fall off quickly too, someone will be a superstar one year then nothing the next.

It still amazes me how the most capitalist nation on earth runs it's sports on such socialist terms. If you're shit no need to worry about repercussions as you won't be demoted or anything as long as you accept the rules. In fact have the first pick of the best young players. I'm amazed they even entertain the idea, let alone accept it. Can you imagine that happening here - Phil Foden having to join someone like Macclesfield?

Cheers all reckon I’m going Bills although was impressed with Mayfield and OBJ for the browns last week.

Cant get over the importance of the quarterback to grid iron. When you see Mahomes, Jackson and Wilson in action it’s something to behold.

Testament to Belichick finding the right coaches but also ridiculous record of picking up undrafted players and those released by other teams and turning them into winners.

I think with undrafted players etc Belichick knows he will always have control as those players will be grateful for the opportunity and not rock the boat, or at least certainly not for a while. When he took on Brown he got rid very quickly because he could see it was going to be an issue with control.
