One of the worst players to ever play for us. The mind boggles that people actually rated this clown, but it does give a great indication as to why the club has fallen so far if this is the standard of player the fans are willing to not only accept, but to lord over them too. Yeovil Vs CCFC, you get what you deserve.

Outrageous, this guy was a top level defender, not a player who would step out of the back with the ball or look 'classy' but a pure defender who served our club amazingly.
Every team needs a Richard Shaw
I know forums are about differing opinions but you are talking out of your ass real.
Sheeplike responses ?
You sir are a tool
Says the man calling anyone who appreciates one of the most loyal players we ever had "Sheeplike"
Pot, kettle, black.
"One of his more infamous moments in a Palace shirt came in January 1995, during the Eagles' home fixture against Manchester United. United midfielder Eric Cantona attempted to get on the end of a long clearance by Peter Schmeichel and was obstructed by Shaw, who had marked him out of the game."
He was an excellent man marker, see above

Ferguson would say that because Cantona was an excellent footballer. 'Players like Shaw' would cover 99% of the league.
I thought Shaw was alright. Not shite but not our white knight. Of course if more than one person dares to think differently to me on this or anything it's a sheep mentality.
I know that you love bring the ferguson quote up, it was in the context of criticising his team and was not as you suggest.
I knew that a post about shaw would bring you out again. I say the same to you as I did last time. Shaw was first choice as a defender for around 9 managers during his time here and at palace. Now who knows more you or those managers?
Despite Shaw's best efforts throughout the season (for which he was named "Player of the Year"), Palace were relegated back to Division One, and Shaw moved to Coventry City in November 1995 for £1m. He performed consistently well for Coventry over 10 years, making over 350 appearances and scored his first and only goal for Coventry after over 250 games against Gillingham in May 2004.[2] He won the "Player of the Year" award at the club in 1998/99 and the "Players' Player of the Year" award in 2002/03. Having spent a decade at Coventry where he had gained much respect from the fans, his testimonial match against Celtic in April 2006 was a big success, with the Sky Blues ending as 3-1 winners over the Scottish champions,[3] before he was released at the end of that season.
No, it's every mans right to disagree, the sheeplike mentality comes in when they trot out the myth that he was a good man to man marker, I hope that clears it up?
Real, are u thinking of the right player, because Richard Shaw was immense In the air, solid as a rock, a bit slow maybe but he made up for it with his footballing qualitys!
He was a bad player, only 1 player of the year award, i ask you!!!
Before i get flamed, i'm being sarcastic.
