I actually feel sorry for proper wasps fans that this has been such a cluster fuck for them but it sounds like the clock is ticking and if the bond holders don't agree to the changes then the club is doomed

Absolutely in a better position than the vast majority of clubs in league one and probably a fair amount of clubs in the championship due to the way we have been run the last few years

Don't be jealous that we will actually have a club to support in a year unlike yourself (then maybe you plastic wasps fans will go and support the proper rugby club in Coventry)

I don't know if this has been mentoned or not but the revaluation of stadium is coming up. If its done to include the present condition of the economy et al then hopefully that will be an ass clenching moment all round.

If i supported the "proper rugby club in Coventry" i would be a plastic CRFC fan as i'm not originally from these parts. likelihood of Wasps going out of business in the next 12 months? very very slim, jealousy just not in my character matey but if it makes you feel better just keep throwing it in there.

The fate of your club rests on the goodwill of the bond holders deferring payments, such a sustainable business model there

Before covid we ran basically self sufficient. We spent with in our means and used transer money wisely.
We have a team who we have been building and not needed to spend tens of million on and not over paying wages.
We have made ,ore TV money, more sponsorship money being int he championship and unlike every other sporting club we don't have to worry about stadium maintenance and cots involved with owning/ paying a big mortgage on one.

For example of TV money in league 1 you get 30k per home game. Championship is 100k. We have been on sky twice at home already.

Im sure we are not in a hugely rosey situation but I believe we are in a much better position that possibly all clubs in League 1 and majority of the championship and defiantly better than wasps who burn though money like there is no tomorrow.

Income from the sales of Wilson, Maddison, Bayliss, McNulty and McCallum have continued to come in over the past 18 months. We've had no upkeep of empty ground to fulfil, no stewarding costs, more tv income from games and more from being in the Championship.

Outbound there have been fees for Walker and Hamer, with significantly increased wages and not to forget that we've also collected £700k in season ticket memberships and furloughed most of our staff in the non-playing period. We'd not have budgeted for huge season ticket sales and our average gate last year was possibly only double season ticket, so it's not too bad and if we're losing it certainly can't be by much. As a low spender I'd hope at the end of all this we're actually doing better than many of our close rivals which may help us edge ahead.

Knowing how it feels, I shouldn't therefore really take any pleasure in Wasps failing .... but I do!

Do you know what the television income is for Wasps by playing in the Premiership and what the running costs are?
We project that CCFC will get £6M+ for being in the Championship and there are reports our wage bill last season was circa £3.5M. Hence, you are right in thinking CCFC is self sustaining.

Why doesn't anyone want a bad pitch? Last year excellent football and a winning team. This season despite our style, we could perhaps do with a bit of a 'leveller' ;-)
