No chance he will be signing for us - studying at University at the same time; doesn't add up. Cov United, Nuneaton and the like, more probable.

Doubt he will be signing for them, he was earning $30,000 a month. At the age of 29 he’s not someone I’d want personally

Odd to "sign a deal to go to Coventry" and mean "being accepted on a course". He seems to be defensive mid-field, over 100 caps for Singapore (ranked 73rd in the world) and a good record in Asian international football.

Wikipedia says:

Hariss Harun (born 19 November 1990) is a Singaporean footballer who plays and captains both Malaysia Super League club Johor Darul Ta'zim and the Singapore national team as a central midfielder. He is Singapore's youngest debutant, making his first international appearance at the age of 16 and 217 days.

Hariss is known for being a versatile player with combative and play-making abilities. Predominantly a central midfielder, Hariss has played occasionally as a centre-back, right-back, or as an attacking midfielder. He is also recognised for his leadership skills and is the former captain and vice-captain of Young Lions and LionsXII respectively.

Sounds too good to be playing for Coventry United in the Midland League, is it?

Possibly an eventual coaching role perhaps? What sports qualification can you gain at Coventry University?

He's going to be studying at PSB who are a transnational education partner of Coventry University.

He will be studying in Singapore but will graduate with a Coventry University degree.
